  1. Here’s the comparison article with how I ranked everything: https://smarthomesolver.com/reviews/30-smart-light-bulbs-compared/

  2. Really good video! Well done!

  3. Your audio is very bass heavy. Needs a low pass or cut filter at least. My subwoofer was shaking the walls.

  4. Confused! Not sure which bulb to buy.

  5. Just like incandescent bulbs, you don't always exactly want the "brightest" bulb. Which is why they sell incandescent based on wattage. And also color temperature (ie. Kelvin) based on a standard. That's what you SHOULD be looking at. Ability to replicate things like 2700K, 3000K, 3500K which are extremely common and best suited for most living areas.

  6. i ended up returning my philips hue. The app to control the lights was so poorly made and it's disgusting how overpriced 100w versions of them are.

  7. How to measure the accuracy of white as here 1:07 ?

    No Govee?

  8. WOW. it's rare to stubled across high-quality content in your first search. This video is nit only super well reserached, but so prfessional too, in every way (content, thoroughness, delivery, editing, even humour)! Now I might just stick around to check out your other videos, thanks for the top-notch video!

  9. The cree smart 21a 100w 1600 lumen bulb works with samsung smartthings app too. Brightest and cheapest bulb. Works great with samsung smarttag too and only cost $15 for a 2 pack at lowes currently.

  10. I’m a LIFX guy. And I will most probably stay a LIFX guy.
Was curious about the kasa as I have their smart plugs.

I actually love the colours on lifx. They’re pretty reliable for me and there’s only the odd occasion where I’ve had a problem. It’s a shame they don’t have a tv bias synch box as well.

The app needs improvement though, it’s very dated and features are lacking. I’m hoping now they’ve new investment that this can be fixed. Most of Lifx problems are software rather than hardware.

Despite the flaws, they’re still a great bulb. Just need to iron out a few small things.

  11. thank god govee has good white accuracy since i thought i wasted 26$

  12. Not sure how I missed this video but I'm glad it exists. Thank you, Reid! And Hat Tip to Paul.

  13. In the last year I’ve found several affordable wifi brands that work with Alexa that I really like, you should consider adding: Fovaa, 4-pack is $28 and you can install directly with Alexa and skip the app. I like these best. Also Luxense, 2-pack is $15 and although it says it has its own app you can control with the ever popular “smart life” app so you don’t need the extra app download, Makytwow has 4-packs for $33 and also works with the smart life app with Alexa integration, and finally Winees, at $50 for a 4-pack they are more expensive but worth reviewing in my opinion.

  14. I have Govee smart bulbs. I'm looking for a smart bulb that allows a "scene mode" inside the Amazon app. Do any smart bulbs have these options? Thanks Chris

  15. is cool white or warm white rgb bulbs better?

  16. Can we find a G24 smart bulb?

Have you seen any smart bulbs that can do color rotations as well as mimic flame? I like the torch/fire look but I don't want to have to change light bulbs to do it…

  17. Hi can u do comparison between kasa kl130 version 1 n 2

  18. So many options. If my main “need” or “want” in a smart home light bulb is just to have the “cycle through colour feature otherwise known as disco or party” what is my best option here? My only intentions are to use these bulbs outside for Halloween where I can setup green and orange or Christmas green red white etc please help as I’ve wasted hours of my life with no good outcome yet lol. Thank you

  19. LIFX has power on state now.

  20. Hey, first great video! Thanks! I disagree with the power on state. I want that because I use smartthings switch to turn them all off and on, I like powering them completely off so they are not crapping up the network unless I am using them, among other reasons…

  21. When I consider Paul Hibbert, the thing that comes to mind is "that guy who hates Hue".
