I've never owned a Samsung note. I'm thinking of getting one for the s pen. Can you just write in the dark. Or do you have to be online to write on your phone? I ask because I have noisy neighbours and I'm having to get out of bed, turn on the light and find pen and paper to log time and date of the noise. Also can you record noise through the ceiling with this phone? My current phone Samsung s20 fe 5g won't record banging noises. Can anyone help?

… thanks for your efforts to educate, what I can say about dropped test is on my drop test the speaker doesn't work properly anymore and from the 2 foot drop screen is broken like a spider net deep enough to see the inside.
Yes the automatic photo smoothing is so irritating. I use the camera to take pictures of documents, receipts, etc, and this phone will NOT take a decent pucture of a document because the center will be sharp and in focus but the rest of the photo is blurred!! And all beauty settings/filters, etc are OFF!! But it does take great pictures in the dark. And super zoomed in. I don't like that the s-pen was moved to the other side and the drop down menu where you can adjust volume etc etc is very tedious to catch. Even Im on a call and want to chance to speaker I have to make 4+ attempts of pulling it down before I actually catch it

I'm late to the party but I just wanted to say, your review is on point man. I am not normally a "comment" type of person, but you do a fantastic job. I am a Power User big time and my phones are my life. The Note 20 Ultra is an absolute monster. My favorite phone by far for just about everything it can do. I whole heartedly agree with you that Samsung needs to market there Qualcomm/Exynos phones as at the very least, slightly different models. Being a power user, I would actually feel kind of betrayed having the slower model. Memory isn't really an issue with me because I use a 1tb card, but I would be a little bit let down to know I have the slower processor. I try to get every last drop of performance out of my devices so it matters to me. In any case, they are fantastic phones and they are feature rich. Looking forward to more of your reviews when it comes to buying the next device. Love the shades, hope your company still makes them. Need to grab a pair.
