Awesome Tips SpaceX Starship! FIRST orbital flight explained ๐Ÿš€

SpaceX is taking humans back to the moon and could one day take us to Mars. But before all that, its massive Starship rocket is gearing up for its first orbital flight. Claire Reilly breaks down how we got here and why this is such a big deal.

  1. Gonna watch

  2. When I go to mars I donโ€™t think I will ever come back to earth

  3. Cool I like it

  4. when is the date

  5. Shut up ! It will just dreams

  6. When it will happen ? After 100 year American FAA is nuts

  7. Lol FAA is nuts they don't permits to launch

Starship is going to be an absolutely epic step towards space travel, what a massive vehicle w/ reusability that is just another game changer spacex has brought to the table.

The logical next baby step, methink, should be a suborbital flight. Requires less engines, more gentle on re-entry, test all systems weed out any bugs before going orbital.

  8. I always dream to contribute in this kind of work

  9. nul

  10. mimi la fille

  11. Hate some of the stuff that is being said. Suborbital flight has nothing to do with microgravity. Gravity here on earth and at the carman line is basically the same. There is just no ground to stop your acceleration.
Also: orbital flight does NOT mean escaping Earth's gravity well. All orbital objects are held in orbit by the Earth's gravity. Seigh I don't expect explanations that are 100% correct, but that is a total lack of love for the details here.

  12. How do I get invited?

  13. Ya still need "Earths Gravity" to Orbit, Earth…..

  14. Yes, I am planning on watching the launch.

  15. Wait so why does the starship have to land in Hawaii and not back in starbase, TX?

  16. HEAVY. I feel if Christian Von Koenigsegg was to build a space craft, it would take on an entirely different approach. I also don't think that's the safest way to get out of dodge, so to speak. Will save my explanation for another time .

  17. I wonder if anyone down there at SpaceX is working on a magnetic field to re-direct the hot plasma around the bodies of the spacecraft at re-entry. seems like that might help with the heat problem.

  18. Yes, I definitely want to watch the launch.

  19. Best video thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

  20. 1) It's Starship, not "THE Starship". You wouldn't say "I'm watching THE cnet."
    2) SN15 (just like all the SNs) was full scale. It was NOT a "scaled down prototype". It was a FULL SCALE upper stage.
    3) Orbit doesn't "start at 100 miles altitude". Orbit isn't about reaching a certain altitude – it's about achieving a high enough VELOCITY that you continually avoid crashing into the earth. You can be a thousand miles up and still not be in orbit.
    4) If you are in orbit around an object, then you are still within its gravity well – BY DEFINITION. The ISS is firmly within Earth's gravity well. The Moon is within Earth's gravity well. To be outside a gravity well means you have achieved escape velocity. Has the ISS or the Moon flown away or are they still in orbit around the Earth?

Space =/= Orbit =/= Escaped Gravity

  21. thumbnail looks weird.

  22. So are they basically going to dump the ship and booster on this test?

  23. I hope Elon Musk ๐Ÿ‘ put the cybertruck into orbit

  24. Anyone with a memory more a goldfish will remember that the sn8 flight that exploded on landing was a success because they were only testing the flight attitude systems and didn't expect the flight landing to actually work. Typical sensationalist journalism rather than accurate reporting.

  25. Poor content, nothing new? Complete waste of time, don't watch it.

  26. Please CNET have someone who understands orbital mechanics review your videos before release.
    Everything else was great.

  27. Yeeeeaaah. F the FAA ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

  28. *Before I go any further I believe in Elon Musk and his abilities and dedication, but I don't feel that we are being told everything… *
As we know and many reports say that spaceship by all apearences is what is going to Mars and that it could take up to 100 people or cargo this has been reported a fair few times

Here you reported that SPACESHIP (without the booster) is approximately 9m wide and however tall, when you look at what it comprises of to just go 12 miles up I find I am very sceptical that a spaceship built on this platform size could contain up to 100 people, the fuel, Oxygen, food, accommodation equipment, etc to last a flight of about 80 ish days, one way with also provisions shelter at the other end and enough reserves for the spaceship to return to earth OK maybe several other unmanned trips beforehand with ongoing supplies and equipment could happen and is probable) could you imagine sitting in a small seat, limited space to move, toilet, and ablutions occupy your minds for 2 & 1/2 month's, Surely the present size, spaceship is not the required specimen needed to get to Mars
To the moon yes with maybe 4 to 6 Astronauts for a time but not Mars
Am I being cynical or confused by what is needed for a human to survive on for an extended trip to Mars!
It just doesn't seem big enough to carry enough supplies etc for such a long trip and with reserves if something happens on the way.

  29. Boom,Boom, next Stop the Moon step aside FAA . Starship Artemis โœ‹, Mankind Has a Universal Mission

  30. Thanks.

  31. Finally someone properly pointing out just how stupid the Blue Origin and V Galactic flights were. They liter made a joke of space flight, and are messing with it's reputation

  32. WHY do the makers of so many of these videos feel the need to have the commentators face RIGHT THERE in your face?!?! NO ONE needs to see you. Literally NOBODY. Voiceover will do just fine, especially when the visuals are freaking starships.

  33. The presenters face has strong uncanny valley feels. Seems like a deep fake

  34. If Elon thinks he's going to fit 100 people on board one of those for a 9 month journey…. I think he's done his calculations wrong… For a start how are they going to shield against radiation even if there were a crew of 5…? Water… But the amount of water needed would be around 5-6ft deep jacket around the crew… The weight would be staggering… Anyone who gets on it will need to be sedated as the risks are staggering… Even if you nail a landing… Which isn't looking reliable…

  35. Create more space junk every year. Earth is already being ruined by humans like elon musk.

  36. Dude, that thumbnail…

  37. I live on the Space Coast in front of the VAB. Iโ€™ve been watching launches for a long time and enjoy everyone of them. Disappointed that the Star Ship is launching from Texas. Itโ€™s a great endeavor and hope Elonโ€™s dream comes to fruition.

  38. will be watching for launch

  39. The narrators exaggerated facial expression, presentation style and weird close up framing / bright lighting made this video really hard to watch. Please get someone else to do your videos

  40. Is there anyone who noticed her face, she looks like an ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿฅด
