What do you think, are these light strips synced with your TV beautiful enough for $200+?
The biggest factor that makes or breaks these lights looking good is the distance the tv is away from the wall. The closer the TV is to the wall, the less the lights will reflect onto the wall.
just buy philips tv with ambilight, and thank yourself later..
I started with hue play because graident was not in market in my country :). now I have 7 hue play bar 3 for top, 2 for top corners and 2 for sides. I can say it's the best solution. not right solution 🙂 but best. Because lighs are stronger and there is no latency. it showing real color. I decided to get graident strip last week because it's in market now in my country. But changed my decide when i saw the videos because it's not as good as hue play bars. Maybe I buy 2 more hue play 🙂
how much distance is recommended between the TV and the wall to have a nice ambilight experience?
Why is everything you show on TV the climax of INCREDIBLE movies? There could be people who haven't watched it yet. This is really terrible choice of showcase
So I need both the Gradient Light Strip and the Sync Box to make this work?
If it doesnt' work with streaming services (netflix, amazon, hulu, etc), it's just not worth it.
0:40 well those prices were nice a year ago. 65" is now $270!!
I like the old style Echo Dot because it's small also Newest.Technology, gives out decent sound and doesn't take up a lot of shelf space if you want to put it on beam in the workshop or shed.
I just bought this DO NOT BUY IT !!!!! It’s so expensive for really nothing please don’t be like me and save ur money there’s other company’s that offer the same thing for cheaper! I don’t know who Phillips think they are but Jesus fucking Christ
The problem with this is that I watch apps on my smart TV all of the time so this would never work for me
If ik the price before I would’ve ignored all the beauty to late now lol
Hello man! one question, is it mandatory to have the sync box so the lights can sync with the Tv colors?
Is there an option somewhere so the gradient light strip doesn't completely turn off when the screen is back? I find that very distracting. New user here
I can see how these would appealing if you already have hue products but as a standalone product the gover immersion product seems like a much better product the not covering the bottom of the TV is a huge deal breaker for me especially at over $200 when the govee is half the price and covers the bottom
so would i be good with just buying the lightstrip and the hue sync box to start me off or do I need the hue bridge as well
very nice but expensive very it is lol you don't have a more affordable option.
Thanks for the video 📹! I learnt Heaps💡🧠!
To be honest I bought this product and found it to be trash and difficult to install!?

These light strips seem like a good idea, but they won't work for the applications most people will want them for. For example, most kitchen cabinets are uneven on the underside. In order to cover the length of the cabinets, you would need to cut the light strip into sections, with a cord and plug required for each section. That's not feasible and wouldn't look good with all those cords. If you want to use them for a closet, you would need to run a cord from the closet. Also, the adhesive on the light strip isn't sticky enough.
do i have to use my phone to stream so graduent ligjts can sync with whatever iam watching on TV, Netflix, HBO max or whatever app iam using? Can the apps be run through sync box instead of using my phone? If I need to use my phone all the time for ligjts to sync this sucks..just got my ligjts yesterday and after playing with it for about 5 hours they don't sync with netlix?Netflix?? I think it's because I was using the Netflix button on sony tv remote instead of streaming it through my phone or something else?? There is gotta be a better way instead of using my phone:(
How come my gradient strip ligjts not that responsive as the once I see on YouTube videos?
Impressive but it’s one of those things that you eventually turn off because it doesn’t make any sense.
0:29 when your headphones disconnect
This did just happen to me
It doesn’t even look good…
530$ for something that doesn’t look good
What's the slimmest/best hdmi ambiance lighting kit to fit a Samsung Frame tv that's mounted on the wall?
Ever since finding out about these things, I WANT to like them but man are they just distracting.
Your TV is to high
Been reading a lot and people been complaining of gradient ligjts and sync hue box constantly blacking out and often needing resetting? For what they cost they should be working flawlesly or almost flawlesly since nothing is perfect specially with twchnology. People say they are wonderfully when they work
By the way if I decide to get the gradient lights, what exactly do I need? Gradient lights or 75" tv, sync hue Phillips box, bridge and chromcast?
I've got the hue lights and bridge already in my household so this would be perfect! Only think of i want to use these with a 100" projector screen. Will these work or do I need the play bars?
Does the gradient effect work without a sync box or anything while your watching tv? Or do you need one
Love the work, keep "em coming. One question, in Europe this is Hue PLAY Gradient Lightstrip. This was way in 2020 so dunno if that was the name then .Cheers !!
So just buy gradient strip for my 75 inch tv? I been looking at tons of videos and in opinion they look distracting
My biggest complaint would have been IT"S PHILIP OVER PRICED JUNK!!! GOVEE for the WIN!!!!
They didn't have any input on what you would say…. NOW THAT"S BULLSHIT.. you give a bad review and they will no longer be so nice as to send you any more FREE samples to review… please DON'T bullshit us… All your links to them have KICKBACKS…
There are cheaper, better options availible. Some people may want to wait for the HDMI 2.1 and 120Hz hardware support.
Does this work on the 50” smart tv?
Do they work with all TVs?
cant you just use a 70'' strip on a 55" TV to fill in the bottom?
Yuck. Gross product.
🚩Does not work with TV apps like Netflix
🚩Require bridge + sync box (sold separately)
🚩Size on box is to cover only 3 sides of the tv
🚩Does not work with HDMI 2.1
The bottom
Was interested until I learned no 4k/120 support. Booooo.
Great video. I believe this system will not work with the tv's Internal apps. Also the Sync box will not play Dolby vision ,HDR 10+ or dolbyAtmos. Is this correct ? I'm I missing something.
Okay so when you say it doesn't work with tv apps…does that mean the lights won't work if watching Netflix straight from the tv?
Vs watching Netflix through a Pstation that's connected to the box?
Hello again, have you seen Govee Immersion TV LED Backlights with Camera? Looks like it's a good cheaper alternative.
What do you guys recommend for a 77" oled lg for the amount of strips
What if you have 82 inch tv?
Would it support 1440p@120hz?
I wish you would have done a review and just focused on the gradient light strip. You are talking about both together most of the time. Didn't help
