  1. It looks like you actually removed or damaged a surface mount component on that drive. resistor or cap, for tight power delivery. it might mess you up with that drive. use a plastic spudger and don't pry on components.

This does high light that m.2 drives that have heat sinks should make them easily removable. So many motherboards have covers, some of which must be used.

  2. the picture you provided in the video of 2 of those drives you can see that 1 resistor or capasitor is broken near the edge you can fix the drive by adding componet replacement on that place or making a conection so it would work.

  3. 3:20 i dont know is my awnser to the question

  4. @8:28, the surface mount inductor or resistor (far left of the array) looks like it has completely come off the solder pads which is why the drive doesn’t work. This could be due to heat, which can potentially melt the solder joint and cause tombstoning or move the component itself off the pads. Side note – I have been saving for a gaming PC ever since I found interest in them and your videos give me so much excitement and I haven’t even bought my PC yet haha! Keep up the good work.

  5. I’m my opinion the Ssd is ruined If you have warranty return it just say it’s not working but a new different Ssd and pay the rest of it off with your own money I’ve done this with 3 mother boards over the past 2 years…I wasn’t great or really knowledgeable in custom looping before😅

  6. so this is a large nid case, but you cant put 3 140mm fans at the front????
