  1. scp sucks, especially winscp. Use SFTP instead.

  2. I offloaded some 4k drone footage the other weekend…. omg was this a perfect timing lifesaver…. i didnt have the right usb cable so i was only transfering files around 40mb/s…. i was getting over 1.3gb/s using this method…

  3. Thanks Jake! Really helpful.

  4. Lol airdrop go br

  5. Wow I really understand what your are saying

  6. Great tutorial.

  7. Wow, Jake was genuinely helpful

  8. Bro sounds like Kermit

  9. Just use LANDrop lol

  10. I mean, it works… and i did it.. but it's super slow..

  11. So I need to download the scp foundation to do this?

  12. Didnt get mine yet and didn't know this wasn't way to do out of the box, AUR might have something coming soon

  13. Instructions unclear, I connected to my Xbox instead somehow???

  14. sudo systemctl –now sshd

  15. My general suggestion is to enable key authentication and even disable password authentication when setting up sshd

  16. where was this 2 days ago when i was failing to figure out SSH because my wifi was off

  17. I just plug in my 16tb HDD to my deck via dock. Switch to desktop mode and start transferring the games I want.

I try to keep things simple.

  18. Why not have a network share? So much easier to set up and use.

  19. Couldn’t you just use an SMB in windows. And then log into it with steam deck.

  20. SSH secured with a password? Poppycock. Use RSA public key authentication FFS

  21. Or or now hear me out how about I stick in the cable

  22. I need help! My pc is pretty dusty and I dont really wanna buy a datavac and we have like a air compressor could you use that cause im not sure cause it pumps out air super hard and im not sure if it will damage somemy pc or if pc parts will fly away.

  23. "and just like that"…

Think I'll just use the cable…

  24. Try out kde connect

    Isn't Filezilla faster?

    exclusive daaamn ssh

  25. Idk i think accessing the windows pc via smb from the deck is much more comfortable

  26. You can also just mount an smb share from a NAS or a shared folder on windows.

  27. Or use Winpinator

  28. Oh I’ve used this before in uni but never thought to use it like this. Thanks LTT

Why not use fttp, and connect directly using file explorer. Much simpler

  29. Yeeaahhh… I’ll still stick to USB, knowing WiFi can also get slow depending on what exactly you’re doing or what’s in between your access point and the Steam Deck.
I already noticed such issues with the Switch (CFWd of course).

  30. legit tech tip right here

  31. Or just plug it in and save time.

  32. how to change the password or set it up

  33. Would love to see which is faster – plug in the cable or rewatch this short 15 times… 😂

  34. You can use filezilla as well. Also. If you use filezilla already. The $20 or whatever it is for pro is worth it. Pro connects to soo much stuff

  35. I thought you were gonna use SCP

  36. it's not secure, use ssh cert for authentication lol

  37. Or just the cable?

  38. And plugging in a cable is more complicated than your method why exactly?

  39. I'd rather use a USB-Cable 🤣

  40. Alternatively you can just install the flatpack "Warpinator" and then install "Winpinator" on your PC. It's a little easier than going through all this. 😉

  41. Can I do this if I’m running windows 11 on my steam deck?
