Awesome Tips Steam Deck Review: PC Gaming in Your Palm, at Long Last
After spending some time getting used to its quirks, I was impressed with how well some keyboard-and-mouse games translated to the Steam Deck’s built-in touchpads.

Free robux rewards on my channel, Hurry before they're gone
I’m a console player but I love the steam deck, I do prefer to play either my PS5 or XBSX when at home
Love my Steam Deck, it’s the switch pro Nintendo won’t make.
Personally, I'm glad that it doesn't look like a toy, which was a big problem of mine with the original switch, or like it's trying to be too cool with its design. Also, if you actually examine what the two menu buttons do, the choices are actually not arbitrary at all. What a bizarre criticism when the Switch does basically the same thing except with a short and long press. Also, at no point did Valve say "four or more hours" of battery life. What they do say is 2 to 8 hours, which represents a wide range of different types of gaming experiences. Please, know what you're talking about before getting in front of the camera.
I really wanna try bo3 on that
Best thing ever!!!!!
Can you tell me what type of bluetooth keybourd and mouse you use?
64GB is worth it if you're confident enough to open the system and replace the emmc. It's removable and buying a 256GB nvme one will save you $200 compared to buying the actual 256GB one.
Uses Firefox to download Chrome, what a pleb…
I bought the $400 steamdeck and the exact same 256GB SSD that was only $40. Saved a lot of money not paying $150 more for the $550 deck.
Great review. Thanks for the info.
hard pass. i rather use my pc.
Nice Harry Potter collection sin the background!
They Keep Pushing My Purchase Date Back. Like The PS5 once something is so exclusive you can't touch it, then you lose your desire for it. It becomes an overpriced, reseller market based type of unsecured interaction with no original Reciept.
Sometimes people just don't know what they are getting for the money. Any equivalent to this is over $1000
I'm literally going to have mine pay for itself by mining crypto on it for a few months. XD
It won't come close to a big GPU but for 15 watts of power that is a no brainer.
People are so lucky that Valve limits the orders to 1 per Steam account. That's what Nvidia should have done.
30 FPS hmmm.. i will just wait for the next version we need 50 to 60 fps.. maybe 30 will drop more if your on a massive graphic area..
Feeling like the $399 64gb model just should come with a 128gb sd card cuz the 64gb model actually only has 46gb of usable space and that’s not enough even for 1 game one most of the time
A dedicated device for PC games that is mobile. I can't wait to get one. And, the fact the OS can be wiped, I saw that in another review, and install windows and theoretically have no issues, this seems to be as close to ideal as possible.
Excellent review
Why does he look like Star-Lord with a beard?
I like it. but they shouldve put the joysticks below instead of top.
I gotta correct a thing: The old SteamOS running on the steam boxes was not for gaming pcs. it was mostly for thin clients, that could stream any gam over network to your tv f.e.
I didnt even get the steam deck to play the steam games, sure i will, but the main reason i got this was, EMULATION, oh my god i cant wait to see what the comunity can do, any game console at the palm of my hand, gamecube, ps2, ps3, xbox, wii u, wii, 3ds, ds, retro, dreamcast, ps1, switch, psp, vita, everything
100% getting a 1T sd soon for it
Steam needs to make a console for the poor. With same flexibility like this one has . I am not interested in a 400 dollar handheld console . Because I know the hardware will wear out in 2-3 years like the modern smartphone
At long last? Onexplayer has been doing this for several years ahead of the steamdeck, screen is bigger, 1tb ready installed as opposed to the paltry 256 and 512 on the deck. Plus it plays all my games and doesn’t need to be ‘verified’
Does it play 7 Days to Die?
7 Days to Die? The ONLY game I am anticipating….
Emperor's New clothes. I'll just user my 14" laptop with a ps4 controller. Thanks. It needs to be plugged in to "remote/mobile game"too..
i own one, the 256 model, ive spent maybe 3 hours on it, my honest review is that it feels too awkward to hold to play games like elden ring, nba 2k22 etc. There is this weird lack of comfort that i wasnt expecting even for a normal sized man with above average hand size.
I'm actively looking to sell mine at this point.
Imagine going out of your way to connect a keyboard and mouse for Hades (a game that explicitly recommends you to play with a controller)
I think… This device needs a slim version or something. It has way to many buttons (remove some) and everything looks just like compact. Like seriously how are these joystick and buttons so close to the border?
A slim version with less buttons, centered buttons and just a better looking appearance. It's honestly a bit ugly. But it looks like a good device!
