  1. meh. Skipping this one.

  2. Why is this a major version? I found none of these features interesting.

  3. Stage Manager and the dock at the same time is not a confusing issue. First it not like the stacks of windows on the left would just appear for no reason. The user is going to understand what going on as soon as they use this function. People get that the dock are for apps and on the left are basically windows to the running apps. I have a hard time seeing users getting confused over this.

  4. Deskview is a nightmare for students .😂😂

  5. Why does it bug me that people (even Craig from Apple) put the phone mount in the middle of the screen so the cameras are off to the side of centre? Anyone else, or just me?

  6. Too bad I’m not a Mac-er

So this greedy company rather than improving their webcam on laptops they want people to use stupid phone as camera for better videos? And all the Apple sheeps will run for it and this comes from a guy with M1 first version laptop with 780p webcam.

  7. Ventura – already a massive FAIL. Instead of simply improving the camera on the MacBooks / iMacs – nooooo. apple makes you rig up some slap dash beta, download patch, works most of the time 'fix' to allow your iPhone camera to 'work' with your mac. Face Palm. Apple is no better than facebook / meta anymore – always a disappointment. Will stick with monterey for now.
I quit watching once he was going to spend 5 mins on the phone camera alone.

My phone isn't showing up to be able to choose it for the FaceTime calls. I have both the public beta on my phone and Mac. Any advice?

Can I record video on my Mac while using continuity camera? Essentially to make YouTube videos.

  8. continuity camera seems more like an iphone feature but ok

  9. Mehhh

  10. Dan Ackerman is one of my favorite CNET hosts. I like the way he explains things and he has charisma too.

  11. i like this

  12. I’m so happy you showed that the phone kept working as a webcam after you removed it from the laptop. I’ve been wondering this ever since I saw the demo in the keynote. Now I just wonder how far from the laptop you can take the phone before or stops working🤔

  13. I personal think the Stage Manager is useless and just taking up space. Definitely will be the first thing I make sure to keep it turn off after installed Ventura.

  14. Failure Google correctly location current places rong detected misleading information from internet connection gateway agent almost criminals.

  15. Using the superior cameras on iPhone attached to the laptop is a clever idea but ideally, we should be able to use a good camera included in the MacBook itself. Seems a strange workaround solution to the problem of not good enough cameras on MacBooks!

  16. Apple Please check Microsoft Windows how works well when you work with many windows….

  17. Will we ever get a good image viewer for intance 'irfan view' ? It's alright adding all these new features when back to basics computing is still easier on Windows !

  18. What does launch pad do?

  19. ❤️

  20. Those running Mac mini and Mac Studio will appreciate continuity camera.

  21. Using the iPhone as a webcam will be a terrific win for those of us with Mac Minis! (I've figured out how to do it with the current iOS and MacOS, and no added software, but it's a bit of a pain.)
Note that continuous operation of the iPhone cameras takes a lot of juice, which means that (A) you'll want to keep it plugged into a charger, and (B) older iPhones may overheat badly when used as webcams.

  22. Portland, JAMAICA in the Building !!!!!!!!

  23. can i download this to my windows laptop?

  24. Stage Manager seems redundant. One tweak or two on dock would be enough, no need for a fourth method to access a window.

  25. I don’t really find Stage Manager useful.

  26. Swift left and right is way better and easier than Stage Manager

  27. Can someone please tell me what’s wrong with mission control? I don’t understand what advantages stage manager has over mission control

  28. "Yes Satan?" – A. Ventura –

  29. I installed the beta version but not for Stage Manager. Stage Manager is not for me.

  30. Stage Manager is like the Aero Peek of Windows we desperately needed, but it's a separate giant space waste to the left! Why not just build Stage Manager into the dock like what a common sense developer would do?!

    Come on Apple!

  31. うわっ!自分の本を恥ずかしげもなく宣伝してるよ、コイツ。

  32. Live captions is not there anymore.

  33. Dan could get rich selling the iPhone mount. Dan gives it away for free. Dammit Dan. 🤦‍♂😂

  34. But what about the Dreamcast Dan Ackerman?

  35. Real time transcripts – yeah just use Google meet and they got you covered 😉
And the settings change looks exactly as the one Fedora (Linux) has had for quite some time now.
    Don't innovate – imitate 🤩

im an android person, but the continuity camera CHANGES things; so much applications now with that one feature (like wireless robotic feed). Im curious about what API's apple is gonna introduce to us developers, thats the sweet stuff consumers ought to appreciate. Most people only use like 1% of what their computer is actually capable of.

  36. Deskview is awesome. I can't wait to experiment with Continuity. Oh, the possibilities. Thank you.

  37. RIP updates to my mid 2015 macbook pro

  38. Those of us running macs in clamshell mode on our desktop are probably going to use continuity camera a lot. I know I will be.

  39. Imagine touch screen with those features

  40. Ok

  41. centerstage didnt follow to good….they should get rid of the camera on the latop
