Grew up on military bases, so yeah, this looks like a vast improvement over some of the hovels they housed us in. My main concern is how well they do in hurricane or tornado country. Better than mobile housing, equal?

This is amazing for so many applications. I suggest making them ADA and wheelchair accessible, as it would be perfect for an inlaw home on your property, for special needs housing, etc.
Sounds like a great idea. You still need to own the property to place it on and that cost varies from state to state. Also there are costs to connect to sewer or a septic system and water and power. Should still be less that most other housing. This could be a great Additional Dwelling Unit better known as a Granny Flat.

How do utility and septic systems hook up, is it the same as in a standard home, or is it more like off grid living? Do I have to pay cash for this home, or can I finance it? Either or I will still be interested.
