Thanks to Samsung for sponsoring today’s video! Learn more about Samsung’s QD-OLED Displays on January 5th at:

Samsung Display invited us to see their new OLED TV’s that use a radically different technology than LG’s WOLED displays: quantum dots inkjet printed directly onto an all-blue emissive layer. Find out why we can’t wait to see these panels come to premium TVs and ultrawide gaming monitors in 2022.

Comments

  1. I hate that I like the worse one more lol, must my my oled phone

  2. in one of your previous video you said that oled tv are not suited to be used as monitors because they tend to have stain if you let the same picture projected for long period of time (like the image of your desktop). I saw you use a programe to litteraly worn out the pixel to make the stain go away. is it different wit this kind of led? I saw that you talked of the problem near the end of the video. how much time do you think a monitor like that will last ?

  3. it's funny reviewing picture quality in a video because you're never going to see the difference on your home TV or monitor.

  4. THE BACKGROUND COLOR ISN'T RIGHT!

    Samsung said, πŸ˜…

  5. "Thanks to Samsung for sponsoring today's video" πŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

    This is same as qled?

  6. No organic displays for me thank you. Will wait for microLED.

  7. My Samsung Q70R is the most dysfunctional "smart" TV I've ever had to suffer with. It is constantly losing connection with its so-called "smart remote", which doesn't even have input source selection buttons, just a collection of annoying advertisement options. When it malfunctions, you have to guide it through a stupid Bluetooth setup routine, which never used to be necessary with infrared remotes. What's even worse is how it randomly decides to readjust your picture settings without even asking. It then proceeds to turn on all its artificial motion smoothing, noise smoothing, and dynamics exaggerating BS, producing a vivid rendition of Soap Opera Effect. If only I could toss it through Samsung HQ's showroom window.

  8. How does this compare to the phenomenal Dell U2711? This 10-bit monitor with its massive color gamut makes everything look like a TN panel, and I still can't find a good explanation as to why that is, and how that would compare to OLEDs such as those you mention. I currently feel like a king with my extra wide color gamut covering more than most professionals, but I know it's inaccurate – and yet it looks fantastic. The reds and greens pop, so, so much, I almost can't imagine an OLED matching this depth of color

  9. You're trashing the LG C1 because Samsung sponsored the video, which I get. But let's be real: games don't look nearly as bad as you're making them out to be on the C1. Not even close.

  10. why don't they have monitors with this tech ?

  11. theer better be a 49 inch ultrawide of these

  12. It just feels oversaturated…. And not forget that Samsung's TVs are double the price

  13. Sorry but the qd-oled is just popping red/gold/purple for no reason. Look at the shot of the mountain, the right one's qd-oled – don't tell me that's how purple that lake water is.

  14. personally i cant stand warmer images. Cooler, more blue images look far superior.

  15. I watched this video on three different monitors/displays and LG looked better to me every time. The Samsung seems to artificially boost the colours? They don't look natural anymore but almost surreal. Like your first impression is "wow, what a nice red colour" but thinking twice makes you realize that red roses don't actually look this red in nature.

  16. burn in?

  17. Even the camera captures better picture that i could actually believ3 without witnessing it that they have a night and day color difference using my note20 to watch this video

  18. Watching a video sponsored by Samsung on a Samsung device. What a coincidence

  19. Is it just me orrrr… does the OLED still look better lol. Looks more realistic and clean

  20. …im sold but… where ma money at :'(

  21. I love the fact, that a trusted scandinavian A/V expert links this video to best explain what QD-OLED is ..

  22. 4:15 that looks incorrect on the qd OLED.
