Awesome Tips Driving a Car With No Windows Using AR Glasses
It feels like something out of a spy movie, but Honeywell’s 360 Display lets you see a “360 view dome” when you drive, even if the car’s windows are completely blacked out.

Who put Rube Goldberg in charge of transportation?
As far as we can tell, the future is all but two seconds from now and cars need not be a part of it.
Interesting. Right now I'm not comfortable with it yet but maybe with more refinements, testing, wide use, and regulations if need be.
Easy,. I do this on VR racing anyways.
This tech is already in use in the Fighter jets Helmets.Great to see it in development for the masses.👌🏻
street racers use to put night vision cameras on front of their cars for night runs.
damn I thought Honeywell just makes air purifiers
That's how we're going to drive Gundam!!!
A military vehicle that can be disabled by covering it's cameras, no thanks.
This opens up the possibility of a digital chauffeur piloting your car for you instead of a paid driver for those more inclined to trust a human instead of AI (or perhaps a brilliant combination of both).
It doesn't seem like this product has any advantages vs just regular windows. In a military application you can get your cameras shot out and be completely blind. You're better off with bullet proof glass. In the consumer market it doesn't make much sense either, who wants to put on a helmet every time they enter the car for mild convenience? I would be more comfortable looking out my windows all while using modern collision avoidance sensors and rear view cameras. All of which are common tech now adays.
"climb in and drive experience" with a thick cable behind you….
In my mind, a car without Windows == an Apple Car.
The technology is good for spatial awareness
nothing an emp cant fix
I would love to have this on my boat! Perfect view to the outside without having to go outside in the cold. Also no more sea sickness for my passengers!
US war propaganda.
non sense ..why why ?
This looks awesome, who needs a windshield if you have this capability? looks like something from Cyberpunk 2077
Looks cool but someone will find a way to blind it or camera gets damaged what do u do 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Is it a waveguide lens or a projector?
The problem IS ….. any 'bad guy' can take out the cameras easily and render the vehicle blind……. a VERY weak link….
Killdozer did it first
Just install windows. That should fix the problem.
Great, a car that can be disabled just from mud.
This should be used in trucking. Like the trucks in Logan.
What’s the purpose? Think it’s cool? Wait until that is coming for you with a soldier wearing a blue helmet.
I think if you have windows you should probably use them – not cover them with black plastic. All the motor vehicle laws about restricted vision would have to be repealed in every state. And aside from being shot at as in military vehicles, I can't think of any other uses for this tech that would be better than eyes.
thats amazing, shame we only get neat things like this out of war, those glasses could change the way we design future vehicles
Imagine you’re a car driver working from home.
What a waste, why tf does this need to exist?
Are the outside Cameras Bullet Proof?
on my backup camera in the winter the ice freezes out the camera so glasses would not help
Something about her eyebrows! Can't quite put my finger on it. I don't know why they got me giggling. 😆😄
didn't we put all these sensors on vehicles to make them self driving ?
OR… get this, you can just use windows.
Apple will definitely adapt this to their car, since they don't like Windows
This is really going to help our military
Why are there mirrors outside if there are no widows???
Are they using LBS, whos light engine are they using?
Fake taxi just got more private and personal
Very cool that they decided to use a Hummer for this
Looks like someone at Honeywell has been looking at a lot of Gundam and other Mecha anime to make this a reality.
