I have ordered the 13700K for 539 Euro here in Germany. At the moment i use an 12400K. But I don`t buy a nvidea this generation, it is too expensive for me. So I think about to give intel arc 770 16gb a chance. A new player can help to bring the price for gracas down.

I’m sitting on a 7700x. I’m not sold on keeping it because of the cost of entry for AM5. But we do know that AM5 will be around for a few years vs LGA1700 may be in its last iteration

They compared it to 5950x which isn't even a gaming chip, it's outperformed in most cases by 5900x.
I'll be dropping in a 5800x3d tho, compatible with all my current hardware, outperforms most other CPU even new ones, sensible power and heat, and £430 but hopefully dropping.
Or 5600x3d would actually be perfect for me

What really sets 12th and 13th gen aside from amd is how the scheduling works. Those ecores running windows and other tasks like discord or streams maybe some music in the background will make a difference. Hardware unboxed went over it and said it doesn’t make a difference but they also put themself in a hugely gpu bottleneck position instead of competitive gaming like call of duty and csgo. It will make a huge difference playing competitive where you turn down graphics to get the most fps to lower latency as much as possible. My ryzen build can see up to 150fps drops in peak fps alone because it doesn’t have a core scheduler to separate cores just for gaming and it loads the cores handling the game with other applications where my alderlake sees single digit loses. Granted that 150fps drop is a extreme case in csgo but it still exists and will increase latency. Weather or not that matters to you is all that matters but I prefer every chance I can get to play better.

Not an anything fan. But i highly doubt Amd is in trouble. Intel's Cpu is split into cores you can use at your will and cores you can't use (only used when the system sees it fit and necesary), also this Intel's function of cores is dependant on windows 11. (If you like other OS, bad news for you.) If i haven't been missinformed by tech news that is. Meanwhile Amd has a processor with more than enough Ghz to use on any game up from 4.5 overclockable up to 5.7 if necessary…and you get to use all cores in all necessary whenever necessary. Most Op games require around 4.0 Ghz if i'm not mistaken (less than Amd's best base clock) How's Amd in trouble? Also FPS are more dependant on videocards and lesser on the CPU's.

I love how after so many years intel is struggling to give some product, and they are just fighting to barely show up a decent product right after AMD just to try to disrupt some sales, surely intel missing the old days when they used to charge $1,000 for an Extreme intel Core 2 DUO due to lack of competition.
