Shame you didn't have a 3080 to see the results, as theoretically you may have seen more benefit at 1440p, with the higher GPU floor. I have a 12400/Mortar Max due any day, so am looking forward to throwing it through it's paces. It'll be paired with 3600MHz RAM, so really hoping I can see some comparable uplifts. I will aim for 5GHz first, but will see if I can get it all the way to 5240MHz 🙂

I am really hoping those talking about black screens/non-boot with the OC Microcode simply didn't set everything correctly, such as forgetting to correct the RAM speed.

If there is a fault, I will return it and simply go straight to 13600K with a Z690, as it actually makes more sense in terms of a cost per frame, with a higher end GPU than a stock 12400.

Does anyone have the bios for the non-k overclocking? I bought this motherboard to be able to OC my 12400 and it wont enable.. Just black screens. This is bullshit and false advertising..

There will almost be no improvement in 4k because the mode is now GPU bound. Maybe using a 3090 will have higher FPS improvements.

12 Gen 12600K has more e cores and cache compare to it's non K brother, so it's not just locked frequency.

I wonder if its possible to use this to OC the non k gen 13th too. if yes this is a good future proof board.

Any overrride for system agent voltage on this board? Locked Alder laks seems stuck at anywhere from 0.89 to 0.98v making DDR4 running at 3600 in gear 1 the max for the vast majority, some can`t even run 3200 xmp ram in gear 1. If there is possibility to override SA-voltage and run ram in gear 1 at 4000-4300 like the unlocked Alder laks this seems like an interesting option for my 12400F currently stuck at 0.95v SA and 3600 G1. Getting it overclocked to 5GHz and running ram at above 4000 G1 with tuned timings would be an awesome upgrade for me 🙂
