    i fucking love Luke

  1. I think the video is more interesting than the title.
I saw from Veritasium's video how titles make a big difference for youtube, and he has tried changing title of older videos to see better results.

I would recommends something more catchy and understanding
Since I don't make youtube videos I may not come up with a better title, however I did not find this title appealing enough to actually watch it.
Specially since it seems LTT makes water cooling videos every other week, I was like what another one and skipped, until I heard them talk about it in a recent WAN Show.

"Cool ways Shadow Power Upgrade (water) cools it's cloud computers in France"
"How Shadow Power Upgrade (water) cools it's cloud computers in it's Data Centers in France"

Optionally you can add: "- Fun Fact its costs about a cool million $" but I think it makes the title too long.

it gives the shout out to the sponsor, brings in an EU country which people may find interesting as AWS and Azure happens to be primarily US based.
Also tells us that its not another water cooling video for personal computers done by LTT itself but another company at a much different scale.

  2. is that a hard hat or a baseball cap french style

  3. This is very cool. The basic 12gb Ram/256gb SSD, with a xenon and a 1080 is only $30 usd a month. Could defintly see using this for heavy cpu/gpu workloads when traveling when I just have my laptop.

  4. looks like Walter Whites meth lab at 1:30

  5. Cool video..but wtf 70 dollar for a screwdriver xD

  6. i'm always pissed at how "they can't show" stuff, it's sheer stupidity, who cares about the design of a external heat exchanger or a big industrial stainless steel tank?, do they actually think they're giving away some "wooo secret", it's daft

  7. Not available in my country 🙁

  8. First time Ive heard of Shadow, love it except they sold out of the Power upgrade in the u.s. for now. hope they build more of those a4500 stacks quickly

  9. Can we get another video on shadow? I watched the first video you guys did about it when it came out a few years ago but I gotta say it's looking like a viable alternative to dishing out for a machine that's able to do the things that I want it to do

  10. Lukes Tech Tips

  11. Maybe the water helps to prevent another fire lol

  12. You learn a lesson or two when you burn down.

  13. only watched cuz luke. RIP linus

  14. What is the lag and internet requirements using this?

  15. Really cool! I actually use OVH. They're good to work with, but I didn't know much about their hardware. Glad to see them highlighted here, since Amazon frankly needs more competition.

  16. LTT basically has a cheat code for positive reception and they never use it.

    Have Luke host video
    Profit

  17. don't do ovh, when they went up in flames a few years ago it turned out their server building was made out of wood. The "offsite" backups were the machine next to the main server. cheaper because of a reason.

  18. I LOVE LUKE. WE WANT MORE LUKE. GIVE US MORE LUKE!!

  19. While I love the idea, the use of Shadow has been a mess. I live 30 miles from the data center in Hillsboro, Oregon and have had connection issues since the start. Often times the service will not start and today, there were not enough "slots" and had to wait 30 minutes to log in. If this was just a gaming server for me, fine. However, we are using this for work production and that is just not acceptable. I wish this was better as could have been a great solution. However, if you need this for something more mission critical (not just gaming), they have a lot of work to do. However, great video and I agree that Luke needs some more screen time.

  20. So how well would Shadow work on a Steam Deck? Emulations stored on hardware, while Steam games stored on Shadow; since technically all of Steam's games are not saved on to the hardware it should work via cloud right?

  21. So happy to see Luke back hosting videos! Miss you! I know we can see you on the WAN show but you should host semi-frequently again 😀

  22. It is nice that they are switching to water cooling, so that next time one of their data center catches fire it will extinguish itself.

  23. floatplane is literally useless with the youtube sign up button. exclusive videos? done. premium chat? done, chat can be subs only. easier to sub on youtube than an entirely different platform? yep! software engineers needed to mantain this feature? zero. I'm sorry Luke, but maybe it's time…

  24. Bonjour

  25. Luke!!! <3

  26. Luke it was cool you went to France but you forgot all your luggage at the very front gate of the place… Said as if I didn't know what nonlinear video editing is

I miss the Luke videos 😢

  27. What's with the hats!?

  28. If anyone wonders why they use Quadro for gaming, it's because NVidia are pricks and ban the use of consumer GeForce in datacenters. Their own cloud gaming service need not abide by this. unfair competition if I have ever seen one.

    Epic video

  29. Luke is the best

  30. 6:51 looks like Luke's in front of a green screen XD

  31. Merci OVH pour la petite visite de vos installations et thanks LTT Hope visit in UE be great .

  32. Cool !

  33. YouTube ads are getting ridiculously long… 13 mins advertising???

  34. Shadow pc power upgrade is amazing, I've had it since its release. Now that they have expanded available extra storage up to 5TB, I can fit everything I own on my Shadow!

  35. I see Luke, I Like!!

  36. I wonder what the hats they're wearing are they look weird not your typical hat!

Searched and apparently they're soft hard hats, weird huh

  37. Can LTT try experimenting with their Buisness solution for workstations like editors. Can their infrastructure handle it, and can your editors work from the cloud?
and how is there management interface for handling multiply workstations.

  38. Luke videos are best videos. I have almost 0 interest in the subject of this video, but I'll watch for Luke.

  39. Oh look Luke is back.. insta thumbs up

  40. Luke at 6:38 … Are those like, slim hard hats??
