I bought the exact same speed ram recently except it's 32 GB total instead of 16 GB and I've noticed a massive difference playing games.
I have more RAM so I can have my million tabs open and still be able to play games

I think 8gb is not enough because in my case i cant play valorant but my specs are good i5 11 and intel iris xe max it should give me atleast 150 to 200 fps with 1080 midium settings but i cant even run in windows 11 an error come says not enough memory and my ram usage is always high and i even close all the app fron task manager and use rammap to clear standby list and clearing temp but its not enough and i play emulator game to and my ram can set upto 2gb max and my usable ram is also 7.65/8.00gb and my ram is not faulty its a xpg 8gb ram 3200mhz and ddr4
If you heavily mod games you will eat 16gb up quick.

Help me out here. I have an old amd laptop which supports only single channel memory but has 2 slots. Should I keep a single stick of 8gb or 2 sticks of 8gb?
Farmers like me on Freetoplay MMORPG needs more RAM. 32gb still not enough.
Escape From Tarkov kept crashing with just 16g ram & that was on low 1080p settings. Problem with that game is that the game maps is getting bigger & bigger/expaneded. The latest "lighthouse" map ate a good 13-14g ram alone on top of Win10. So happy i upgraded to 32g ram.
OMG Tribes2… countless hours ma’ing mofos in CTF.
At 1080p I found 8gb was plenty, only upgraded to 16gb to meet the 12gb minimum for half life Alyx.
With certain games its far from enough, for example Call of Duty
Err no, more ram is not a waste. Expecially if your browser has thousand tabs or more.
