In today’s Scientific Tuesday episode we are going to crush cans using water!
Why it works:
When the water boils it pushes all the air out of the can. and
if you quickly cool it it causes all the water vapor to condense
which makes a vacuum inside of the can.
That means the air pressure outside of the can is stronger than inside
so the can collapses in on itself. Pretty cool. .
