As an older man, I think this rush to embrace out of body, ethereal experiences will not be a good phase of human development. When you can instantly escape from any semblance of reality by viewing the world through something akin to total fantasy …..how can reality compete? People with mental issues will surely find this "world" more interesting than the real world. Being able to do anything you like in the metaworld will include violent crimes like rape and murder. People will produce the software THAT CAN CREATE ANY REALITY, NO MATTER HOW EVIL OR VIOLENT THEY WANT TO MAKE IT. Hold on to your hats civilized people. The ZOMBIES ARE ON THE WAY!!!!!
Just came from watching a recent video of what the metaverse actually looks like. Go back and play Nintendo Wii from 15 years ago and you'll have a better experience 😂😂

People died at a real concert so a virtual concert in the Metaverse is better? People live for the thrill of things, it's what gives it that sense of danger & excitement, ask a racing driver or Everest mountaineer. I'm sure Lewis Hamilton has some pretty good gaming gear but would he say it could ever replace the real thing, I doubt it. I'm never buying a virtual shirt for my Avatar or virtual Nike trainers, it's nonsense. Sadly though I'm absolutely sure this will all take off in the end & become the norm with the younger generation, they've already been primed through lockdowns, gaming & Social media. I don't see how our brains will ever truly get over the fact that the Metaverse is still an artificial experience no matter how good it becomes. There is no substitute for physically being in someone's company, this is frightening and I think will ultimately give everyone severe mental health & emotional issues, I'm glad I'm not young anymore, life will become a very odd existence. I get it, this stuff is addictive, It's one of the reasons why I consciously stay away from gaming, I know I'll become hooked & just piss away my life……..nah, I'm good thanks.
