My question is does the nest one have the magnet operation like the rest of their cameras so you can change the view of the camera? I want to put it on the side of my house facing my gate entrance. Not staring at my neighbors wall.
Depending on your Wi-Fi, they can rob your house and put things back in place before the camera alerts you. I'm sorry I have the google cameras.
Ring wins with the alarm, nest wins with the clearer imaging and 24/7 recording. My neighbors work truck got broken into, their ring only caught the end of it while my nest across the street recorded everything before and after with clear image of plates. This guy probably had bad wifi. My nest cams annoy me with how frequent I get notifications. Sounds, bugs flying by, etc.
Yup anything from Google are overrated
I hope Google Home products will not be unpopular.
The Google floodlight camera is attached using nothing but magnets that can be torn off. For those who think it's not possible to not be recognized while doing this, consider using a mask.
You cannot replace the bulbs with ring, you have to buy the ENTIRE unit if they go out. Not sure about Nest.
Can you turn the lights on and off with your phone, or just with motion detection?
The local Best Buy where I live suggest ring over nest so I bought ring, I have a ring pro doorbell for 4 years and no issue..,
7:23 sec what was that in the background
DO NOT BUT THIS if you have an existing nest camera architecture. This light does NOT work with the nest app. Only usable in the Google home app which is garbage in comparison. So now I have 5 cameras and a doorbell in nest app and this one camera all alone in my Google app. What a waste of time and money!
How many people realized they were blind?
Has the nest floodcam improved at all since this video? It's now June 2022 by the way lol
I love my Nest cameras, Nest Thermostat and Google Nest…Only issue is i want to add a security system to these. What do I get? Ring? Then I can't use my cameras. Any suggestions? I have several cameras and to switch at this point and replace all would be expensive.
dont know why camera manufactures leave the power cable out in the open for anyone to cut.
Debating on getting 2 cameras I need one for front and back yard. North side front south side back sun exposure. Ideally leave them inside and plugged in. Suggestions on a brand or brands that would work for my concerns. No lag between movements, leaves blowing creating false alerts, sunlight making the camera unable to see.
The forest? Fam I've had a crackhead try to break into my car on like 5 separate occasions.
But ring only works on an iphone…isnt that true
Thanks for posting this, I have the ring flood cam from 2017 and it a POS. Has this pink lens thing that happens wifi fades out its not really dependable. So I was looking at upgrading, I already have a nest door bell so figured the nest floodlight one would be best to pair it with, no more having two subscriptions and two different apps.
Pity about the camera not staying charged despite being powered by mains, forums are flooded with the same fault from the US, UK and Europe, seems to be a major floor somewhere where the battery is draining down and goes offline. It ends up just being an expensive floodlight.
Does ring offer 24/7 recording? That's what's important to a lot of people for a security camera
Why wasn't the Ring's superior alarm sound/siren not discussed a little bit more indepth?
I love the little squirrel thing in the background
Although Ring seems to be a better camera than Nest, I think Amazon and Google should evolve and integrate AI technology such as Nexoptic's ALIIS. Especially for vision tests from 5:38 minutes (Day/Night mode). We are in 2022…
Going with ring after watching ur video
Floodlight video cameras need 12MP, and 4K picture quality, 180-degree view, color night vision, a loud siren, and fast alerts with dependable two-way talk that works.
My neighbours has this flood light its intrusive and annoying
What's that a rat in the background 🤔 😳 kinda spooked me
NEST FAILED THE MAIN TEST!!! THE CAR WAS BROKEN INTO AND IT DIDINT EVEN SEND A NOTIFICATION!?! 😱😱 THATS THE 🤬🤬🤬🤬 POINT OF THE ALARM SYSTEM!!! ITS EQUIVALENT TO AN AIRPLANE HAVING COMFORTABLE SEATS BUT CANT FLY!! LIKE WHAT?!?
Nest have zones tho for heavy traffic just saying…
I've used Ring for years and they are solid. I'd recommend the Ring.
Mouse at 7:25?
you guys switched the links for nest and ring.
7:26 🤔 wtf
Compare these two with the eufy floodlight 360
Man I wish these guys would work together SMH love my nest and Google assistant but I want some of the neat ring stuff too
And next time AWS goes down, ring will not even turn the light on. I am too heavy in Google ecosystem with NVidia TV, Smart TVs, so I will go with Nest.
As of today, you cannot display live feed to Chromecast with the Nest. It is a feature they are still working on with the newer generation cameras.
Rings WiFi is terrible. My doorbell could never connect quickly
