Bloodline Champions (BLC) is an Arena based PvP game developed by the Swedish company Stunlock Studios and distributed by Funcom using Microsoft XNA. Bloodline Champions won both “Game of the Year” and “Winner XNA” in the Swedish Game Awards 2009. The game officially launched in the United States on January 13, 2011. The players in this game are split up into two teams (Warm and Cold) with up to five players per team. The objective is different depending on the game mode.
“‘Bloodline Champions’ is a free-to-play online player vs. player arena game where players engage in short, intense battles of up to ten players divided into two teams. Each player must take control over one of several different bloodlines, each with their own unique weapons and abilities. Easy to learn, challenging to master – ‘Bloodline Champions’ is just as much fun for the casual player as it is for the hardcore gamer.
We at Stunlock Studios, the developer of ‘Bloodline Champions’, made it our number one goal to make the ultimate PvP arena game. That meant doing away with chance, random elements, target locking and critical hits. Here player skill and team play is the most important factor to win.
Different bloodlines in a set up complements each other, different maps and game modes need different tactics, and good teamwork is important. Spells travel towards where the player aim their mouse cursor, and can be avoided by enemy players, making every ability dependent on individual player skill. There is no mana and the cooldowns are short, ensuring that every match is full of intense, adrenaline-filled action.” More info here:

If there is no items to boost your skills, then there is no equality in the game.
For instance, there is a champion named Darius in LoL who is extremely powerful early game,
If there were no items he would be equally powerful as the game progressed and there would be no balance.
In other words, if there weren't any items in the game, there would be no balance, i'm not saying every single aspect of LoL is balanced appropriately, but its balanced enough so its atleast playable if you're good
I would much rather play Archeblade. It's not very popular any where else other than the USA because it's awesome base game.

Play BLC, You'll see what I mean. Also comparing BLC with CoD4 or CS is just plain idiotic. Every fool can pick up a gun, where the only skill you need is aim and your m1 button. in BLC cannot simply be compared to a game that can be picked up and played right off the bat. While i see your "point" if you even had one, I believe BLC takes another kind of skill than holding down your m1 button, and play hide and seek boom boom. CoD4 and CS is hard in another way.

Clearly none of the raters have played BL Champions ^^ . It's another MOBA, not from the dota genre. Everything's aimed in BL which is one of the main reasons I currently play it over HoN/LoL, it's so fucking fun man.
