  1. Here is the reality. 100% of OLED panels will burn in. It can be delayed with technical tricks but there is no stopping the eventuality of it. No one wants to hear this but that is reality. Great vids and content 🙂

  2. I've had a 48cx for 2 years downstairs and it's fine. But mostly TV and console use. I have a 55c9 upstairs as my PC monitor that's 3 and that's also fine. But it's not used probably for more than a few hours each week and I've got screen saver on 2 minutes. Start menu on auto hide and I view stuff in full screen. Like you I love the image quality. It's difficult to look at an LCD screen now!

  3. When wanted to get a new TV because my old one got broken I got plenty of information before take a decision, and avoided OLED by exactly the burn in issues

  4. Allways LG

  5. My Echo Show 10 has the same problem Burn in at the top of the screen. In my case the burn in is green and takes up a lot of space.

  6. Lg oled dead completely even with save screen…eco mode 24/7 etc… You have to be rich to buy 4k oled screen every 4 years

  7. I'm casually optimistic about the new OLED 27" flat 16:9 PC Monitors arriving next year with OLED panels from LG Display. My take is that if LG Display dares to make OLED panels for PC & PC gaming in general, burn-in most be a non-issue by now, if not there's going to be a lot of warranty returns of those panels in the long run because of burn-in.

  8. Not very smart people are early adopters. These companies use you as their testers instead of hiring them.

  9. Love my OLED but will never do again. They burn out way to fast for the cost. Living w/ my degraded picture until I am willing to buy another type of display.

  10. Love the honesty. This is why I trust LTT.

  11. OLED TV, sure. QD-OLED TV, even better.

    OLED monitor? No way.

"Burn in is old news" Oled cultists. Fyi im an OLED owner. I just understand the limit of the technology and dont make excuses for its blatant planned obsolescence

  12. that's why i went for LED

  13. Wendall is creepy

  14. I just bought my very first OLED TV (55” LG B2) for our living room, and I’ve been having a lot of anxiety about it burning in, especially because I use it for PS5 gaming mostly, and this video has helped me feel much better about it. It seems like the modern newest OLEDs only have major issues when they’re used as a main monitor. I really love mine. I’m so glad I bought it!

  15. Oles sucks, that's all

  16. I’ve Had an oled for ages for gaming, etc and like my plasma before it (lasted 12 years) my lg has been going for 6 with no burn in, these reviewer are about viewer/ subscriber numbers so shock and awe, pull you in suck your time up watching some useless information, basically set the screensaver correctly and you’ll never have an issue. It’s that simple. Leave the same thing on any tv and it will have image retention. We have 2 lg’s 5 to 6 years old and they are both perfect. Save your time, get out there and live your life, stop letting social media and YouTube etc suck away your time, there’s better things to do with it, 30 minutes videos that could be 1 minute. 😂

  17. Your'e wrong, Linus. I'm done with OLED. OLED burn-in is not rare. It's a real thing. I've had two LGs and the volume up/down symbols, along with the mute indicator, got burned in. I won't even comment on the CNN or FOX channels which I rarely watch, but they have burned in as well. Come on. That's just silly and I really have to blame LG for this negligence. Why would you create onscreen indicators so caustic and harsh that they ruin your screen? Why would you make such a wimpy screen? Did no one test these before mass production? I don't believe you when you say gaming menus don't burn in. BS. So, I'm done with OLED until they pull themselves together. I'll go for QLED going forward.

  18. Is this more of an problem if you use the TV as an monitor?
I just bought one just for gaming. Maybe like 2 hours a day.
    I dont watch TV.

  19. big chungus

  20. I am overwhelmingly conservative with my Alienware aw3423dw. I figure it's not entirely the same as the LG.. But close enough with them both being oled technology. I have absolutely anything and everything dark, Taskbar hidden, and only play on it a maximum of four hours (timer on) which then hits the auto pixel refresh. Along with that I also make sure to hide any and all obtrusive HUD elements in any of my video games that might allow it (my biggest fear thus far has been path of exile and the health/mana globe) and if I do decide that I want to play anymore for the day, the cycle repeats. Basically the worse thing I'm doing with it, according to this video, is that I constantly have HDR on and the setting "HDR 400 trueblack" and that worries me due to the brightness.

But anyways at this point I figured conservatively babying oled optics was just.. Common sense

  21. Every single one of his ‘endgame solutions’ videos ends up getting an upgrade the following year

  22. had for over 2 years no problem its really a myth until prob year 5ish or later

  23. TRtings test shows that black bars (95% of movies have black bars) after some 4,500 hours will show issues on test images. After that uneven wear is just a matter of time.

  24. thats one reason i didn´t get an oled as a daily driver… my display is running basically 24/7 and u cant do that with a oled
    odyssey ark 4tw

  25. I own the LG OLED 65W9PLA – i use it since 2+ years. No burn ins.

  26. Lol get the extended warranty then when the screen craps out replace it problem solved

  27. Just turn it off when you are not using it

  28. not as bad as my aunts burn in in her phone, you could literally see tiktok, while it wasn't open, you could like, open a white picture and all you see is tiktok, and you call that bad?
