Thanks for watching everyone! We'll be covering Tesla AI Day on CNET so be sure to tune back in. But I'm curious: What would it take to impress you when it comes to the Optimus robot? What do you want to see?
This crap from tesla is like 10 to 15 years behind what actual robotics firms have achieved. elon again fails to present any pioneering ideas. Championing a robot carrying a box or a watering bucket as AI is actually insulting to the field. Firms have already moved robotics into the most complex environment, live battlefields. Meanwhile, tesla still has this tethered thing stumbling through an office building carrying a box 😂 1000% vaporwared
The problem with demands commentary that you are interviewing about self-driving software is that he said Tesla wants to make a car that sells drives everywhere and the others are geographically confined to a map City.
I guess he is unaware that Tesla's AI reads road signs, can tell the difference between a tree and a bicycle and a dog and a bird. It knows the habits and the unexpected and expected things and actions that pertain to each individual obstacle. It knows the Dodge potholes if possible, it knows that if a ball bounces into the street from behind the car that there's a possibility of a child chasing after that ball and slows down ready to break. And so on and so on, so just in case he is unaware of the extent of Tesla software I wanted to make sure that you were aware since you don't seem very up-to-date on its full capabilities either. Maybe something you want to follow up on with another video. 🇺🇲👍🏻
I like how Elon tells his employees that he himself makes mistakes and don't be afraid to speak up. I think I stand with the entire nation by saying I hope no one dressed as a robot is on stage in any capacity, please! Lol
CNET is negative.
Wierd dancing man
This time around the robot will be dancing to another tune. can't wait
Why does the Terminator movie series spring to my mind.?
There's Moore's law, which talks about the doubling of computational power every 18 months. Then there is Elon's law that states, "To keep stock prices rising at a linear rate, you must promise exponentially harder targets every 18 months."
Time to rewatch I, Robot again.
Level 4 right now my dear. Get your act together.
Skeptics people all want to make fun and joke of it..any kind of new beginnings has a negative thoughts because the fear to The Unknown..go the the history of this Small Cosmic Blue point and observe for many inventions created in order to help always has been denied even some from across the Galaxy…But still in total utilization by present moment….Tesla Robot already a Great deal those ones will be at many houses…offices..hospitals..even piloting airplanes…as Steve Jobs says back to the McIntosh Computer era which almost every people will have one of this in their homes then on their pockets….
Thank you….
Walk in Beauty and Gratitude…
Most what Musk is involved in is a scam so I think we will not see anything of that in the near future, the only thing that is floating is SpaceX and that is mostly for smart people there have manage to keep Elon on a distance and not pe involved in any of the development or true operation, but Tesla-AI cars, Hyperloop, Solar roof, boring company, Neuralink and so on are just scams that will never be real, work or have any advantage over other companies.
I think it's extremely fair to say that no one would want someone with zero emotional intelligence to be designing AI for the future.
Great coverage… informative, objective, unbiased, balanced… very rare in terms of Tesla coverage which are often quite polarizing
I love how this man is so delusional
Tesla is by far the best automotive and tech company in the world. Tesla will soon release new technologies, car models, new FSD version and much more. The supply doesn't meet the high demand and that says it all. Investing in Tesla is a good investment for the future and for the environment.
I wonder if the reason the person was dancing last year is because they are (probably not this year) going to have a robot simulate accurately as a before and after wow factor.
Infinite number of corner cases… except, somehow, it is solvable. Somehow we do it.
No, they will not have a working robot, ever. And here is the reason why. The first question is to ask yourself, "What will a Tesla robot do?", then you go about trying to build a robot to do that thing. Here is the problem, robots will not do work. Why not? For several reasons, the main reason being that they are sloppy and awkward at best. Another reason is their cost, personally I do not want a robot that costs as much as a car, just to pick up trash.
So obviously, if the goal is to build working robots, it has already failed, since the robot will be designed by the builders to do 'something'. So, if robots will not do work, what will they do? They will entertain. However, first a robot that is cost effective, interesting, fast, and able to walk, talk, stand, go up and down stairs, sit, lay down and get up, is needed. Then people can start adding things like AI, or whatever.
what an idiot. and everyone who believes this foo is just throwing their $ and intelligence away. Wouldn't be surprised to see a lackluster painted Boston Dynamics robot rebranded.
Look at all the delays with the Cybertruck and Tesla semi. This is all easier said than done. Expect delays.
