Amazing Products TV I'm Frankly Disgusted – WAN Show November 4, 2022

Comments

  1. Law student here. I will absolutely rock an LTT tie. I will use the wallet but no Zipper or velcro please.

  2. 35:30 The only reason I could imagine a smart scale would have a camera is to try to keep track of which person is stepping on it. You could use heuristics to try to guess based on weight but if two people are close to each other that's not effective. (I wonder if you could have a really big fingerprint reader on it that reads the heel of your foot?)
Now the robot vacuum does have an excellent reason to have a camera on it, and that's so that it can recognize pet waste. Vacuums without a camera will happily run over a dog poo and leave a thin, even, layer of it across an entire floor of the building. Newer ones with cameras can recognize them and dodge them.

  3. Please add the zipper. Hate when the wallet pockets get use and expand causing the cards to fallout

  4. "We could start eating beaver."

  5. I want wallet AirTag support! Instant buy for me if so

  6. If they start hiding performance behind subscriptions they will start blocking modding 🙁

  7. marvel was good before they decided the only thing they care about is gender/race swapping everyone and pandering to whatever the most recent virtue signal is

  8. he seems to confuse "AI" and "AGI"

    or maybe i do..

  9. Soon enough you cant drive the car without subscrubtion lool

  10. We're all on the same page that even true 'AI' in it's current form still isn't actually intelligent right? It's still a binary computer executing instructions and is in no way able to think in the same way any human or animal is. I'm pretty sure we are all on the same page about that but just wanted to check.

  11. Little bit late, but big NO on the zipper

  12. Isnt it just wasteful to build high end hardware in cars just to lock their potential away for subscriptions? Its not like the world isnt going through quite the crisis right now. Its simply not the right time or even planet for shit like that. Want more power? Buy the bigger engine. Dont need the power? Keep the smaller one and save up some valuable resources. Fckn shady stuff.

  13. Feedback on the wallet:

    – love the (colour) design aspects of it!

    – ++ for ensuring other type of money fit!

    – + for the many card slots!

    – i wouldn't prefer a zip, maybe a clever magnetic closure?

    Ideas:

    – a transparent card holder/slot for ID cards etc.

    – a small pocket for my hearing aid batteries or of course other things that might fall out
    – rfid protection for at least part of the wallet
    – integrated pen and maybe a short blade (like on the Swiss Card Classic) or screwdriver
    – integrated shipping shock indicator (resettable) so your viewers can accurately assess how much damage the latest Linus drop test might have done before they continue watching your video!

    Joke Item:
Make one that "fills all pockets/slots", designed like a modern graphics card, maybe even with a little fan to cool your jewels? 🤣 You could totally collaborate with "Unnecessary Inventions" for that one!

  14. So we should send our money to the government which will waste on desert wars? Trust the government? You guys are Canadian.

  15. I work for a big 3 auto manufacturer in USA.a company know all over the world,a company that profited almost 19 billion dollars last year.the way this market and others are going fwd in the name of lower quality and higher profits just sucks.every thing today is about money.subscriptions for car features, there’s handfuls of streaming services for tv/music.some of understandable sure but there’s a lot wrong with the way things are moving fwd economically, globally.i would like to say though there are a few examples from the outside I see some business do the right things.you seem to handle your business respectfully.

  16. love the show you were talking about twitch and how much better youtube is any tips was a small streamer on twitch 600+ followers but youtube is harder to get follows as i said any tips anyone at Linus Tech Tips?

  17. Linus, are you trying to say that when you buying some product to get yours business going you need to share yours revenue with producent of that product on a subscription?

  18. imo im a fan of the wallet. Leather is rugged and great for something thats going to be in your pockets a majority of the day. I would like to see a NFC/RFID communication blocker lined inside the wallet. Helps with thwarting people looking to spoof your cards info.

  19. Back in the 1930s and early 1950s anything automated was considered an intelligent robot even though it was a toaster or automated lighting using new sensors. They are doing the same with the term AI today and it's amusing as people In the future might have true AI and mock our early tech.

  20. @39:10 nah dude your wife invited them.

  21. @33:20 I don't know about Canada but in the US fine laws are often stuck in limbo from when they were written in the 1800s when a million dollars was actually a lot of money. We have to get those laws fixed in order to fine companies more.

  22. @15:30 New Jersey banning the sale of subscription services for cars is unconstitutional because it violates the interstate commerce clause of the constitution and it wont hold up in court if the car makers decide to challenge it.

  23. @12:15 Linus your problem is you think you can just keep your money and do nothing with it. You can't you'd litterally be losing money to inflation if you did that. You have to take your money and put it into some sort of interest earning account to at least keep up with inflation if not out pace it. That's where the money in trickle down economics gets back into the system and benefits people. It's all about investments and the purchase of over priced luxury items that gets the money circulating. People don't horde money they invest it in other places beyond their own company. Your "hiring new employees" argument is a red herring.

  24. Let the tie be one continuous piece of fabric. Tying it is a ritual and there are a 100 different ways to do it.
