  2. honestly you would be surprised what games are playable on a GT 1030 (GDDR5 version) or RX 550 (30+ fps, I said playable, not great) – CS GO, shadow of the tomb raider (which I completed on my GT 1030), fortnite, skyrim, TF2, and many more

  13. Wait, what? 150 bucks for a 780 TI? That's what I paid for my 980 TI like a couple of months in to the 3000 series.

    The 290x is a better Option, full Dx12 Support+ 4GB Vram and sometimes double the fps of the 780Ti

  16. In 2019 I snagged a gigabyte windforce GTX 1080 for 230 bucks. Still runs and works flawless. Running 2000mhz GPU clock on it too

  17. I remember when I was about to buy a PC, dual 980 TIs, water cooled…then I waited some and got a sick 1080 instead.

  18. they are exactly right. Used one to make dad's machine better than integrated when I ditched the thing. Only plays pre-2014 games.

  23. Holy fu… I was 13 when the 700 series came out and 780 Ti was my dream card. Doesn't seem that long ago now, and I still haven't really internalized that the 780 Ti is not a top end card anymore, but if you go back 9 more years, you'd be back in the Athlon 64 and GeForce 6800 era…. insane

    These GPUs are way more powerful than HD graphics which is what the average person has in a PC

  41. As of now these GPUs are still supported on Nvidia Production Branch UNIX drivers, current version being 515.65.01 available for FreeBSD and Linux(Solaris drivers stopped supporting Geforce cards around driver version 375).

  49. Damn the 750ti just escaped narrowly. 750ti was Maxwell Architecture. Which means this year T_T it is gonna be axed. I know so many people who use the 750ti. Its crazy how gfx cards have become more inaccessible in countries that are not in the EU, US, Canada, China, Aus.
