This is my favorite video by Linus the Sega game gear was the only handheld console I had growing up and got it in a box of ATARIES from the flea market. I brought that thing everywhere to school to friends houses to the beach to the woods everywhere and had Sonic and mortal Kombat. Friends were so jealous because mine was backlit and there Gameboys where not I loved that hand-held it was amazing for it's time.

Yeah I think I had a DS as well and that's as far as I went in the hand held area. I remember how awesome I thought my friend's Atari Lynx was but, as you pointed out, the battery life on those ones with the back-lit screens suuuuucccked. lol 😀
