Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
This is not even cheap in my country. It's worth 950$ when converted.
Quarantine has not been good to you Dan
USB C allows charging if you wish…
Microsoft surface laptop go is available in india??
did he just call i5 decent?
You might as well get the surface laptop 3
In Australia the base model is $998aud (approx $723usd). At that price idk if it is even worth it
surface laptop go look gorgeous…
that rounded corners look a really new design than other design…
latest apple macbook become outdate when compared to this design
There are more than 170 dislikes. It's not a number to be taken lightly
If they ditched the touchscreen for a 128gb ssd and kept the price at 550 it would be a huge deal, especially for students like myself.
The cheap version isn't available at this moment
Should I buy a surface laptop 3 or surface laptop go?
I guarantee I could get a 8gb ram 256gb ssd laptop for around 500usd
How come nobody seems to be bothered with it running Windows 10 S mode?
Wait… the display's vertical resolution is 1024p. At a 3:2 ratio.
That means you can only watch regular 16:9 videos at 720p!!
That's not acceptable in the year 2020. That hasn't been acceptable in a $550-$900 dollar laptop for around half a decade at this point.
Yeah, the Laptop Go propably is a well-built laptop for the price and touch support is neat…. but not being able to watch 1080p videos on an expensive laptop might be a dealbreaker for a lot of people.
an iTunes be installed in these laptops?
64GB, WTF. Come on at least have 128GB be the base line model. 4GB of ram and the core i5 is reasonable tho.
yet, this is how a rich white america fails again. when it comes to budget laptop ads, why is it that people of color are the ones shown using it? and if you checked apple's "what's a computer ad", obviously a rich white kid can afford it.
Dell offers an Inspiron 13 5391 with nearly the same specs (Including display, fingerprint reader, and aluminum housing), but with an M.2 128 GB SSD and slightly higher-res display for around 600 bucks.
I hate proprietary cables EXCEPT Microsoft's magnetic power cable.
By magnets, it laches on instantly and perfectly into the port and has the safety feature of easily detaching if the wire is pulled on.
That's not cheap. Entry level specs is very bad. A person with a low budget should not have aesthetic concerns. with a little research, much better alternatives can be found.
For example: HP Envy 15.6" Full HD X360, AMD Ryzen 5 4500U, AMD Radeon Graphics, 8GB SDRAM, 256GB SSD (wallmart) only 679 dollars. If required be 13" screen, it can be found.
$550 for 64GB storage and 4GB Ram in 2020?!? What were CNET smoking when they said "holy grail for cheap but good laptops"
This isn't a good deal in 2010 FFS let alone 2020.
"Holy Grail"?!? You've got to be f***ing kidding me
They could have omitted the touchscreen and increased the storage, and lower the price more.
Nobody should buy a laptop with 4gb ram in 2020, and for 500usd you can do way better than this.
Did Dan age about 30 years since covid?
The low cost surface ad is a stereotypes kinda ad
I don't understand why they didn't offer 8gb ram and an AMD Ryzen APU instead. For the price, I'd rather get one of Wal-Mart's Ryzen laptops.
WTF? 64gb with 4gb of ram? That’s a worse option. People ain’t buying it.
all i know this year 2020, 64GB storage version phase out already for all devices.
Well there are pretty good options elsewhere too… I got an Asus vivobook 14 for $425(inflated prices now)… Has a 4 thread Ryzen 3 3250u M409DA.. boosts to 3.5Ghz ….integrated vega 3 iGpu… 8 gb ram…128gb SSD and 1 tb HDD.. pretty good non touch FHD screen, slim bezels. 6 hr battery… USB C that supports charging…. And yes.. it's plastic.. but feels sturdy.. there is almost no flex or wobble. U get a windows 10 digital license too. It's moderately light too.. 1.5kg… also.. precision trackpad… And fingerprint reader.
can i download any app outside the microsoft store or what? like chrome
The surface go laptop seems interesting but slapping an Intel chip instead of an AMD ryzen (which is less expensive, more efficient & powerful), just seems like a missed opportunity. Also, I'd rather have more memory (16gb instead of 8) instead of a touchscreen on a clamshell laptop that doesn't do 360 with its screen. Also, the base config comes with 64GB of storage and 4 gigs of RAM. What the heck is that? Can you even multitask on that? I wouldn't buy that config even for my mom (it would be insulting).
They rlly couldve used amd on these to reduce price even more 🤭 This is still expensive. There's plenty of other laptops better than this calling it holy grail is entirely misleading.
If this were a convertible design it would make a fantastic tablet killer! But I'm guessing that encroaches too much on the regular Surface territory. I could definitely recommend this for my mom though! This ticks all the boxes for a laptop she was looking for! Would ditch the cruddy Windows S mode though since she's got some legacy programs that I'm sure aren't in the Windows store.
$550… that'll be £750 in the UK then!
Why doesn't he know how to type?
4gb ram and 64gb storage in 2020 ????
It gotta be a joke
