Intel got out ahead of AMD’s newest Ryzen CPU launch with the Core i9-12900KS – Was it enough to take the fight out of AMD’s 3D V-Cache Ryzen 7 5800X3D, or is it still the world’s fastest gaming CPU?

  1. Why is i7-12700K better than i9-12900K ?

  2. if 3dcache becomes more afford/widespead, would that allow for game ai and animations to be more plentiful and fluid?

  3. the 5800x3D is a toasty boi, so do bear in mind that you should probably have a better than stock cooler within arms reach.

  4. Which is powerful 5900x or 58 ?
    I'm building a setup with a rtx 3080
For gaming purpose and some editing

  5. I think it would be nice if LMG used different colors in their graphs, so that colorblind people like me would be able to tell which is which. Wouldn't be too big of a change but it would be a huge help for the 8% of guys who don't see colors well.

Try to decide between this and 5900x for mostly gaming at 2k/Fhd 240hz and some light streaming and video editing. I might just get the 5900x because they are at the same price in my region

  6. Why does this nigga look like the hunchback of notredame.

  7. I love this gamer chip, its on par with 7950x in games. No need to get the 9 chip for +$200 if not doing top of the line computer production for top companies

  8. i have amd 3900X so selling it and buying 5800X3D makes sense ? going Ryzen 9 to Ryzen 7 i don't know what do you guys think and why ? i mostly use it after effects and gaming

  9. 🐷

  10. Why not compare it to the 5950x?

  11. Hi, do you think I need to change my Ryzen 7 5800x for 5800x3D? I play in 2k resolution, I also use a 3090 graphics card. Thank you for answer.

  12. can LTT review on 5700x?

  13. In hindsight, I'm kinda glad I got the 5700X over this. The slightly lower clock speeds gives me a significant drop in power consumption, which is only furthered by undervolting to around 90W peak. And for someone like me who values having a quiet PC while wanting an insanely small footprint like that of the ASRock DeskMeet X300, the 5700X really fits the bill in terms of power and performance while also being efficient enough to be cooled quietly and work with a 500W gold PSU. And considering that that's an upgrade from the noisy, ancient, and power-hungry E5-2689 (V1) in an already-compact SAMA IM01 microATX case, I'm practically going to play games near-silently in an 8L footprint.

Did I mention that I got the 5700X for 190 USD? Paired with the X300 case, mobo, and PSU combo for 150$ on a holiday sale, and 64GB of DDR4 RAM for another 150$, that adds up to a clean 490$ for about triple the performance and double the RAM of my current build, at least where gaming is concerned. Compared to my friends that have paid in excess of a thousand or two to have similar performance in bulkier cases, I think I have the best price to performance ratios and the smallest footprint for a gaming PC.

If I still considered Intel, I'd be running a fat hotbox with an 8700K with less RAM to keep the same price point. So really, thank you AMD for AM4, even if the 5800X and its 3D variant weren't the parts for me. You made things possible that Intel wouldn't do for people like me.

  14. Best CPU currently for Rust

  15. I own 5900x and 5800x3d…not much to be excited with in 4k. For 1080p gamers and older cpu users, I'd say get the 5800x3d…but stick with your 5900x or 5950x if your already using them. 1440p was a slight increase. But to be honest, if your nvidia fps overlay is removed, I'll bet it's very very hard to tell the difference. I can't tell, and I've been looking. Maybe my ddr 3600 cl14 in the 5900x give that chip a super boost, that doesn't give the 5800x3d the same 10% boost. Great last chip to put out though for am4.

  16. AMD: I have the fastest CPU on the market today!!!
Intel: laughs in 13900K Are you sure about that?

  17. This is the video that proves that LTT are Intel shills. I don't see the 5700x, 5800x or the 12900KS let alone the "12700K" trading blows with AM5 or 13th gen.

  18. Waited half a year and the price dropped by 100, and at 350$, or less in some places, it's a good cpu.

  19. Real win its that you can buy motherboard and put 5 generations of cpu

  20. Why would you not recommend the 5800X3D for new builders? Seems weird when the platform is so affordable and it's really an incredible chip for gaming
