I think buying DDR4 for a new build is crazy, even Intel will have phased it out once their next gen arrives.
I think one of the main reasons for getting the AM5 is the upgradability, it will support another 3 generations after that CPU, making that smaller extra outlay now will end up being a large saving in the future.

Problem with going intel is that you will be stuck with no future CPU upgrades on the cards. Meanwhile, you can get the 7600 and upgrade it 4 years from now with whatever will be out that time and get a significant performance boost.

I have a 3080 paired with a i5-11600kf. I want to upgrade to a i5-13600k for its amazing price or performance ratio. I mostly play games at 4K on my Sony TV and my 3080 is pretty much always maxed out. Would I benefit from the upgrade?
AMD shot themselves in a foot big time with ddr5 only platform.
I took a serious look at a 13500, for upgrading from my 9700k. Looking at the cache reduction and other variables like deadend plattform, i opted for a 7600 instead.
Should be a great pairing with my 6700xt.
