You don't pick a gray screen because your projector is bright, gray is for ambient light rejection. You don't want gray in a dedicated room, white will be more impressive. The thin frame looks great with the lights on but isn't really great, as a wide black edge helps perceived contrast. Backlighting can look cool when the lights are on. Use the speaker covers. The stage shouldn't be hollow. The dipole surrounds are too high, plus why wouldn't you hide the wall plate. Why would you put paper board outside, I can't even. Those theater chairs are very popular, but I've never understood why they have lights shining at the screen, worst feature.
Dan is a tech version of Joe List.
Dan lacks significant knowledge and understanding in the field of audio engineering, as evidenced by his repeated mistakes and lack of understanding in various videos. Proper placement of subwoofers is crucial in a small room due to the impact of wavelength and the potential for frequency cancellation throughout the room. Aligning and equalizing a subwoofer in a null listening position is extremely difficult due to physics. Dan should focus on other areas, such as running a podcast, rather than attempting to discuss audio engineering. It's important to note that the ability to engineer an album or work in a studio does not necessarily translate to expertise in system engineering or physics. Dan's knowledge on the subject is limited and may lead to the dissemination of inaccurate or potentially harmful information. Harmful in relation to good sound, not physical harm.
Would be good to see an update regarding the receiver and what (if at all) Linus replaced it with? Looking for options myself for a gaming/theatre room with support for 4k HDR 120 hz and matrix output?
Rear ported bass bin against a wall? Should'a went front ported bro's :/. PS You only needed one.
Your bugging out when you said 5 grand when you have the money you don't even have to justify it you just buy it
The fact everyone has their shoes off while also at work at their bosses house just shows it's a place anyone can enjoy working

i love how this is pretty much the embodiment of idea, plan, execution being separate things in a video.
Hey Linus, Will you be able to review Formovie UST with an ALR screens, there are many screens, would be nice to see something in mid range.
The white projector screen is really washing out the image
Should've gone with the Sony STR-ZA5000ES receiver
I just feel genuinely happy for you Linus
I personally hoped Linus would've looked at the projector and gone "… Watercool it?"
i guess he's going to plant grass there to be sure he won't be questioned about
Watched this while at work with headphones on… Literally forgot I was at work and felt like I was in linus's house with the quality of LMG and the room. WOW!!!
Congrats Linus, your theatre is awesome
Crazy pitch update?
This was a super interesting video, I actually watched all 30 minutes of it w/o even looking at my phone or other browser. Thumbs up Linus & Team!
5:34 pun not intended
Bro someone tell Linus and Jake to shut up during the sound demo 😂
In addition my ' gaming chair' is a 3 seater hunter leather couch with two built in recliner seats. Much more comfortable than a chair. Head and feet recline

wow pretty good installation linus tech tips now i learned
This is pretty cool. But wow, that's so much to go through just to have an immersive theater experience.
Why not do a 2.35 to 1 aspect ratio screen for the theatre room.
just adopt jake already
Linus making his employees upgrade his house is hilarous.
How to make an in-home theater for free
He'll get a tax break if he writes that as business expense since he made a video out of it.
Respect!
Ankles??
a grey colored screen is usually for rooms that don't have proper light control (ie rooms with windows you cant cover up)
6:05 something about the way Dan just shuffles over in his socks scolding Linus is the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time
Dude a saw an ad right before this video about the projector
Linus, I’m not sure If you’ll see this, but here is some info for you: i have always used epson protectors, and i love the picture quality and value they have. But i would most certainly try and plug it into a UPS of some sort. They can be pretty sensitive to power fluctuations. Just a heads up.
Lines is going to live his best life
Linus, this is sick asf!
Linus kids when they grow up will have a vibe room to show of to their boyfriends
Use zip togglers from Lowe’s for any drywall mounting. They are a little pricey but I use the for screens, TV’s, and many other AV products that are wall mounted.
Happy to participate on Linus tax refund for the his home renovation! Keep up the good content 👍
Congrats brother I could hear it in your voice when you said this is a made it feeling. You make great content and I've been watching for years and know you work you ass off. You employ 80 people and as a business owner know how much work it is
Subwoofer port direction is not a joke, Jim.
