I saw a Chinese pc channel called bro cooling use 8 120mm fans on each of the 4, thats right FOUR, 480mm radiators.
I did something stupidly risky but it worked. I moved my Obsidian 1000D from my floor to the top of my 6 drawer dresser. About 5 ish feet tall. Luckily I somehow didn’t drop it but it looks amazing now. I put a usb hub under my desk and ran the display and audio along my wall using cable hiders.

I watched a friend build a PC, buys everything, he wanted to assemble it himself, so I watched and gamed. After 3 hours it was ready to power up so I could throw windows on it. Hit power button nothing, then I smelled that distinct electrical burn smell. So he takes the motherboard back to the fairly small computer store, the owner takes the motherboard out puts it down on some polystyrene and starts hooking power and video…then stops…he looks down tells my buddy "Look….this NOT GOOD!" Apparently he dropped a mobo mounting screw onto the motherboard and it magnetized to a coil on the mobo and must have shorted it out. Owner gave him a new one and sent it back to RMA. He told him to count screws before and count screws after before powering up while shaking his head. Came out flawless…only took me 20 minutes to slap it together (I still laugh…for him the paranoia set in!) Your drop and subsequent case shaking @17:27 reminded me! TY!

If you just used silicone washers in the first place the fans would have been installed much more quickly and just as quietly. That kind of DIY anti-vibration pad was available for pennies from your local hardware store since long before mfrs started charging you $20 extra for anti-vibration fan corners and pull-through spike thingies that love to tear if you ever uninstall them.
You would of been a great voice actor for Mr. Squeekers on Tou Story.

I know linus is smart and I totally would take his advice on anything tech wise but that being said I hope him dropping things and slipping is an act because it's super annoying and I wouldn't trust him with my machine I know he could fix his mistake but still cmon man I mean do people really get entertainment from him doing that them I guess it'd make sense to do it on camera also it's so annoying to here him say ltt store all the time bro we get it it's on all your old videos ypu don't need to say it anymore chances are people watching your vids are starting with older ones anyways sheesh I have a famn anyerism everytime.i hear it now
