Hello CNET! There is something you should be aware of. I owned the M2 Air for 1 month and now have horizontal and vertical lines flickering on the screen, making it impossible to use. I was replacing a M1 MacBook Air that had the same display issue within months of buying. It was sent in for repair twice and it failed a third time right after the warranty expired. This was a new laptop! Apple did nothing for me. They refused to issue a new laptop to replace the lemon I bought and since the warranty expired they expected me to pay to have it fixed again!!! So stupidly I bought an M2 thinking the problems were with the M1 only. Nope! I have the exact same issue with the new model!!! Buyer beware… because Apple isn't owning up to the issues of the M Series MacBooks. I've spent almost $3,000 for 2 MacBook Airs that are now unusable junk! I've wasted so much time sending in for repairs, reloading apps and being without a computer while they try to fix their issues, which they can't. Unless they make this right and own up to the issues I'll never trust Apple again! Good Luck to you if you buy one. As a long time Apple buyer I now recommend you don't.

I just ordered one. I am going to replace my MacBook 12 (Yes! I am on it right now). I always have TWO laptops, one for productivity, and one for production work. I like to keep my office work off my production machine. Since this 12 is the base model, Any configuration of the M2 Air is going to be a giant upgrade compared to what I have.
Love the fingerprints, makes it so much easier to catch the Crypto Crooks…💀
Instead of getting the base model get a refurbished one from Apple with 512GB. Close to the same price and are indistinguishable from a new one aside from the box saying its refurbished. Battery health was 101% on mine too.
Overheat issues?
I purchased a M1, then returned it for the M2 just to have hands on experience with both, as I really could not decide which one to get. Keep in mind, slow SSD speeds and thermal throttling WILL NOT affect you in real life tasks.
Thank you for all the clarifications that it is a great device ,I dream of it a lot , but its price is expensive for me, I hope to get it even if it is used.🙂
It should be 16gb / 512gb as base specs at that price…. I was going to pick up one of these but at the price it comes to nearly €2000 when upgraded to usable spec so nah I’ll pass……

You are so right. The 12 inch should be revived, this is the perfect form for the cooler M1 chip. I always loved the 11 Air and the 12 retina.
Got my mba m2 today, upgraded for 512 ssd & 10 core gpu , midnight- previously owned 2015 mba 11" inch. wish they still offer 11 " inch screen
its like 1050 they give u student discount.. use the rest for some apple accesories any .. or towards a coming iphone 14
Wow. A review that told me NOTHING about performance, options to get with the Air (aside from power) and spent a big chunk of the video trying to make the addition of a 1080p camera seem "revolutionary" by Apple. A "feature" windows and chromeOS computers have had for something like 10 years now.
Useful until apple tells you that you can’t install apps anymore because your hardware is too old…looking forward to it

Hey man, I am looking to purchase a MacBook Air. Should I go with MacBook Air m1 or m2. The base price of m1 is ₹86k (1075$) and m2 is ₹101k (1375$). Should on paper there is a difference of 300$. But I can sell the free AirPods that will come with m2 air.. to lower the price but it will still cost me ₹100k (1275$). So what should I do??
A lot of people are comparing the M1 MacBook Air to the M2 MacBook Air, what I really want to see is the M2 MacBook Air Vs the M1 MacBook Pro 13inch.
