Like A Swatch Watch popped into shirt. Cool.

  1. Just got mine; however, didn't receive instructions.

  2. Man they would need phone chargers at the parks. I wanna enjoy whats around me not be on my phone all day

  3. I know my Apple watch already works as a magic band. Will my watch also be able to do these new features of the MagicBand + ?

  4. This is awesome. Reminds me of VeVe. Yes they have AR Disney items and star wars

  5. Are these out yet cannot seem to find the new ones online

  6. I wish I waited for this to come out

  7. I hope we don’t have to scan our fingerprints anymore with this! I hope it just scans your wrist like your Apple Watch does

  8. Lol “nothing good comes from jaku” screw the sequels. Too true.

  9. I'll stick to a regular one until they figure out something to do with it outside the parks 🤷🏾‍♂️

  10. “Nothing good comes from jacku” Rey: am I a joke to you? Me: yes, yes you are

    Bridget 😍

  11. “He comes from Jakku. Nothing good comes from Jakku.” Did she just unintentionally (or maybe it was intentional) roast Rey?

  12. 1. The tech inside the magic bands will need to be installed into the astromechs for guests.

    2. I would have the magic band as a smart watch that will have good features and have the magic band for the Disney cruisers.

    3. I would use the magicband for rental vehicles around Disney even ones that doesn't need a license in the future. Also work with for things like pod racers, speeders, and star fighters to boot.

    4. I would also put in a communication system into the magic bands to communicate with the family. Savvy?

  13. This is real stupid, Disney could have put a time display to make this “magic band” useful for at least one thing outside the parks instead of being completely worthless.

  14. "Nothing good comes from jakku" 🤣

  15. I was recently reading in Empire how on the new Jurassic Park film, the animatronic dinosaurs were the biggest diva's on set: Like the actors, they too had their breakdowns and fixer-upper entourages to get them back on cue. But what I really liked was, how the actors (reportedly), all fell in love with these animatronic beasts. I want that experience – an animatronic dinosaur that responds, to me personally via AI. People go on about cars etc but we can already drive just fine (well, most of us…), but what better use is their for AI and engineering in this world, than actually creating Jurassic Park for real? It really is the be all and end all of theme parks.

  16. How has Bridget not aged? Seen her first vid on CNET when Youtube was just a scrappy site, she looked young and fresh then… and still looks the same now!

  17. Please help me to understand. What am I supposed to do with that magic band at home? I'm mean if I can buy it, than I can take it home right? So…? I thought you can rent those in the park

  18. Nice Micky mouse laugh

  19. very cool coverage. as always, love Bridget's enthusiasm as far as the potential these bands can provide to the whole theme park experience.
I can imagine Disney expanding it to a Pokemon Go!-eque AR game outside the park to add value to the bands outside of a seasonal wearable.

  20. It does seem a bit unnecessary as you could do more with your smartphone & an app using the augmented reality in the camera app… you could actually see the sprinkles lol. Also with the watches unlocking your cabin on the star cruiser you’d better not get your watch stolen

  21. 21 years ago they used to sell these interactive “magical moments” pins. They had several LEDs in them. And while you could set it off manually, it would also flash different sequences depending on what ride you were on, and what show you were watching. I still have my pin, and it still interacts with a few rides, but not as many as when it was originally released. I was sorta hoping that the new magicband+ would do something similar.

  22. There not new Nintendoworld had it first

  23. that serif font logo. 🙅🤷

  24. Do you get to keep your magic band plus with you or do you have to return it to Disney?

  25. Is Bridget hiding something with not telling us she was Mickey at some point? lol

  26. Who has time to play interactive park games when you are juggling Genie+, pay per ride LL, dining reservations, transportation, kids, etc. when you are on a 7 day vacation? It seems more usable by annual passholders that go to the parks often. They can spend the whole day playing games and no rides. It's a cool idea, but it needs to do more than what was shown so far.

  27. Bridget, not even you can make Disney look cool anymore.

  28. Orwellian Mickey

  29. Congratulations Onet. You just qualified for worst logo redesign.
    I miss my Cnet.😔

  30. Bridget is a cute nerd. Good expansion of the band use and cell phone for Pokémon’s-ish AR experience. More use than using it to pay for snacks, open hotel room door and collecting pins.

  31. It’s beyond me why all of this cannot be done from an app. There is no reason to have just another bit of ewaste.

  32. Modern Disney never ceases to find innovative and magical ways to be gross. Seriously, for those of you for whom money is no object, do you even feel the old Disney magic when you go to the parks anymore? Or are you just going through the motions? Everything Disney is just becoming so tainted in my eyes.

  33. Do u get to keep it ?

  34. I know those Disney bands are cool but Apple and Disney should work together bringing out watch bands for the Apple Watch that has all these Disney characters Star Wars Pixar that you can get with Apple Watch bands and then there also should be an app that you can download but you would have to pay for it like you do The Disney bands and it would do everything that Disney bands would do but would be an app and would give you more function more stuff that would be more Apple Disney feel I just think would be a better experience

  35. 😴

  36. Dang. We lost the kingdom card game in magic kingdom for this

  37. We miss The Disneyland Dog Kennel!!

  38. I would have liked to have seen more of the AR interactions on your phone like if you have Mickey mouse in the viewfinder and Mickey comes alive on your phone and says "you're on the right track, it's thata way" and points you in the right direction.

  39. Feels unnecessary since you have a phone app that does a lot of the same things

  40. Oh that New Font for CNET. :S

  41. I'm all for it! While people are sprinkling pixie dust and searching for doors I'll be in a shorter line 😉

  42. "Nothing good comes from Jakku" Indeed.

  43. No thank you I'll pass

  44. great, moreways to take money. I'm thankful I'm not a Disney fanatic like my sis and her fam is. Way too expensive for the same thing every year/every few months. I'm good with going every few years whern something new is built.

  45. No thanks
