Just gave my faithful 1080ti to my son got me a 3080 rtx 🎅🦄🎅🦄🎅

  2. I still remember my GTX 480, which was so loud that my parents forbade me to play after they went to sleep lmao

  3. Still running a 980 Ti

  4. 25:03 Godd&%m f#&king right, they are…

  5. If the 10 series was anything other than S-tier, there would be a riot

  6. The GTX 10 series ages very well. Have a GTX 1070 Max Q Laptop and still is very capable today in 2023.

  7. Ah, the good old days of GeForce 8000. I was around 17 years old, managed to scrounge up every bit of money from my part-time job and get a 8800 GTS. Lasted me for so many years.

  8. Still sitting on a 1080ti so I would say it paid off 👍🏻

The 10 series is my favorite one. They look so nice, i have a gtx 1080 and im not planning on upgrading.

  9. My Asus Stric 970 has a special place In my heart, was crazy how competitive that card stayed over the years. Bought one at launch and only just in the last 6 months swapped it out to a 1080. Stay strong the 970!

  10. never seen a more detailed tier list

  11. So the 30 series is a solid S/C? What does that even average to? A/B?

  12. The craziest thing i witnessed back then was my dad buying a 8800GT and playing assasins creed 1 on that. It looked absolutely unreal.

  13. Bruh, the 7970 came out before the GTX 680, what do you mean by utter lack of competition (not to mention how much better GCN has aged compared to Kepler)
The RX480/580 was always cheaper and performed the same as the 1060, and it's not fair to just ignore Vega even if it was not as good as pascal

  14. WOOO LETS GO 30 SERIES

  15. Brilliant idea.

  16. My first GPU was GTS 250. IDK which brand it was but it had Black Edition written on the shroud of the card.

I sli'd 2 6600s. Was my gift to myself when i finished highschool… 18 years ago. Was a great era for gaming!

I am still using GTX 10 and is waiting for RTX 50

  17. T-T personally feel attacked – as 2070 super owner (got it for 170$ in 2020 and is still in warranty till next month – so i am not super sad)

  18. Same kind of tier list for Team Red preeti PLISZ!

  19. Intel's GPUs are notably absent on the list. Lol.

considering how much insane money you can make on crypto i dont see gpu prices to go down soon. sure eth is pow but it doesnt stop other coins to become its' replacement

  20. Ti 4400 SSSS-tier 😎

  21. Man, all this video is doing is making me miss the days when €500 got you a top shelf GPU. I remember building my first PC and going with an R9 290 because that beauty was some insane price to performance. (It was also uncomfortably hot, but who's counting.)

Small detail, but Maxwell was introduced with the 700 series via the 750 and 750 ti. Those little cards were actually diamonds in the rough, being competitively priced, decent for gaming at 1080p, and the built-in encoder meant they continued to be useful for media center or plex/jellyfin servers long after users had moved on to greener pastures.

Regarding the 2000 series, I had to RMA a GTX 1080 Ti and was sent an RTX 2080 as a replacement.. it was worse, in every way. Less RAM, fewer FPS in non-RTX titles, and ran hotter and/or louder. 2000 series cards should be in D or F tier IMO.

  22. The best series of cards Nvidia ever released was hands down the 10 series. The 1060 and 1080ti were legendary. I would say the 700 series is not far behind though, as the 750ti was literally one of the best cards Nvidia ever released. Rip the 700 series with no dx12 support, and long live the 10 series!

  23. I need to disagree about GTX1600 series, or at least top model. I've had GTX1660 Super and it lasted for a really long time, I couldn't believe that GPU that costed me 240 pounds could run VR games 2 years later and I still have sold it for like 200 pounds. But that's only this one, otherwise great comparison.

  24. 1xxx series was definitely NVidia at peak form. I don't think you could ever get such a great value on performance like you did with the 1070. I have a EVGA 1070 card and God damn it is a machine. Got it back in 2016 and it served me all the way until today as I write this comment. Finally built a new rig after almost 7 years and stuck in a 4070Ti. But I honestly could have probably gone another year without upgrading cause I was still able to play newer titles like Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy just fine. I've waited years to upgrade though, but the pandemic and crypto boom it really fucked me over. So now that GPUs are more readily available I jumped in.

  25. Please make a video for all amds gpu's as well 🥺🙏

  26. Ah, ah yes, all hail my GTX 1080 that got me through C-times… Best purchase I ever made… To this day it is in service, though currently in my HTPC.

  27. Nice, now do the laptop gpu tier list🤣

my first card was a 980 which went into my first gaming PC. It actually lasted me like 8 years, just upgraded to a 3070 this year.

  28. About the only thing I'd change is 40 series – it's not S tier, but I think pushing AV1 mainstream is worth a bump.

  29. A better/cooler list would be a rank list of all cards. For example: I'd 2060 better than 1080 Etc. Etc.

  30. man i remember my friend getting the 8800. i bought his 7600 which was good, but he hardest the biggest epeen of all out friends.

  31. now we need amd card….

  32. Imagine not even mentioning the 1080ti when it's been the most lauded card of the past decade or so.
It only cost like $650 at launch, it came out like seven years ago, and you can STILL be using it to play 1440p games @ 144fps.
That GPU is going to remain relevant even a decade after it's launch (which is unheard of) and it wasn't even that expensive at release.

Me who went from a rebranded 7970 (rx series) to a 1070, to a 3080 (that was an ASUS card for only 100$ more than the founders): I only shop on ticks, tocks are for losers

  33. Upgrading from intel pentium-intel hd graphics to Ryzen 7-rtx 3070 ti was a heavenly experience

  34. The ART on those older cars were so sick.

  35. The 7900 xtx can't match a 4090? It's like nearly $1000 cheaper than a 4090, which only beats it in cyberpunk by 11 frames at 4k. You're insane if you think I'm paying an extra $1000 for 11 frickin frames.

  36. the nostalgia of good cheap flagship cards… things will never the same again.

  37. Nvidia only won with the 7000 series when AA was off, otherwise ATI would often pull a 10-20% performance improvement lmao

  38. Going from a 3dfx voodoo3 3000 to a fx5500 to a 8800gt to a 970 to a 1080ti to a 4090 it has been a interesting journey and tbh I would have stuck to my 1080ti if it was not for the obvious performance issues related to my work and the card slowly starting to have frame drops(poor thing is dying).

My 1080ti now rests in my media center enjoying a happy retirement.

  39. 1080Ti is GOAT'd

  40. GeForce 3 back in 2001 was a vitally important card, as it introduced pixel shaders.

This was the first step towards fully programmable GPUs rather than "fixed function" before this era.

It took several more years for the entire pipeline (geometry, vertex, pixel) to become programmable, and this card is where it all started.

  41. My gpus over the years where, a 6200gt for wow, then a 9500gtx, then a awsome 550ti wich i still use, and my last one a 1650gtx..awsome cards
