Yes, we know the mouse is a little different, but it's the only one that survived our coolant exposure tests. That said, welcome to the Tormach family; we can't wait to see what you and your team do with your new 1100MX Mill!
Regarding on-site installations, we have rebooted that service offering, but it is currently only available to customers in the US due to COVID travel challenges. However, we do offer pre-assembly services regardless of location, so maybe if you get another machine we can ship it out to you either with accessories pre-installed (ATC, etc.) or even fully assembled, but then Colin would miss out on all the fun of doing it himself. PS – Linus, safety glasses are your friend!
But can it run doom?
12:20 if you use tormach to make money your going to have a bad time
Hope it didn't grow in you !!!
Get it !?
The covid shots side effects.
🤡🌍
(9:37) I'm somehow fascinated by the old 'Clearlooks' visual style (from most stock GNOME 2.x releases) poking through!
Goeffs actually baught the fidget spinner in Intel Extreme Tech Upgrade
"can't do on-site assembly cause COVID" aka we realized we can charge the same and do less
Aw it's a little baby machine, those little holders are so cute. I used to have a little haas om to play with with a little 15 or 20 taper spindle whatever those are
Lol f that, I work with mills and setting them up is not easy or fun
For the love of all things holy and techy. I hope that Linus has a handler that goes around behind him during the planning of these video shoots and says "ok Linus you can touch this but NOT that" Because y'all know that Linus is an accident looking for a place to happen
Are there videos done with this?
Is that a Savage Industries Apron?
it’s always funny to see a layman in the cnc world 😅
I love how Linus is like holy cow this is expensive. Well maybe if you wanna see more expensive tools check out a moulder head with a set of knives it is unbelievably expensive
Colin worked for Raceface before it closed???
If he thinks that's cool, he needs to see the behemoth Mazak mill my mom's old job had. Thing was the size of Linus's shop. 4 axis already, 100s of tools on an automatic drive, could cut a complete titanium frame for a car if you wanted with .000001 tolerances.
The router in me says "meh DMG, Hermle or Haas is the better choice" but on the other hand for the things you do with it the machine is perfectly adequate since you don't have to do any production with it and the table is big enough.
Why do Pantone chips cost a 3rd of this
imagine getting a covid shot
That's the flimsiest CNC mill I've ever seen.
Having only operated Haas machines in my life it's amazing that looking at another machine can make me feel like a kid again and so in awe.
I used to work for a guy who sharpened those bits.
Hitting the like button because they left in the mistakes.😁👍
Please use metric
No monthly payment
Watching this dude try to explain how to use a vmc while holding a cat49 like that …then getting excited over a standard umbrella style tool holder …. guess a probe and ats will blow his mind
Need safety glasses for eye protection.
never would’ve thought a Cnc mill would be in a Linus tech tip video
The vfd that's in that mill actually is made in the town I live in, it was literally made 0.5m away from my house 😁
Ini mesin apa ?
1:42 man only judas could lose his soul faster than that. not a record I'd want to break but hey good for you man.
I have never seen you so happy!
titanium isent that hard actually ( light as alu and as hard as steel )
had you said inconel 718 or monel k500 then i had be more impressed
my school has a machine that is almost like that but on steroids (haas cnc 750ss)
You Should Start Making Heatsinks For Computer Builds With This Machine
tbh that was the worst sponsor ever
the first video after 8 years that I didn't see the sponsor spot coming….
Linus WHS, put clear safety glasses on when working on anything, the floor painted for "you" to tell people not to cross this line without safety boots, and hi viz stick on shirts.
Someone watches AVE
LInus should have been wearing safety glasses when blowing that part off.
chips and coolant in the eye isn't safe. chips especially would be extremely painful and likely to cause vision loss easily.
im usually the one to not care but eyes are extremely important.
i dont care if he cuts his finger on a sharp edge that can fully heal, but eye damage is usually permanent.
AvE References are killing me
He watches ave 100%
it's cheaper than a red 8k camera.
4 axis machines? 5 and 6 axis machines are amazeballs
Instead of "absolute beast", I'll use "absolute unit" now if I complement someone at the gym.
"You are an Absolute Unit!!!"
…eh maybe not.
