Back in Early 2020, we tried to deploy a new version of our all NVMe video editing server dubbed “New Whonnock”. It was a complete disaster due to what appeared to be a design flaw with the storage drives we purchased for it. Wouldn’t the Whonock server that this is replacing technically be “New Whonock”, because they had the old 4U Whonock that is now in Linus’ server closet. The one they didn’t deploy would have been “New New Whonock”, and this one would be “New New New Whonock” aka Whonock 4.
Why would you use windows for network storage, openbsd with zfs would have been more reliable.

it must be nice to upgrade whenever you want with like $40-50k worth of hardware that you use at the workplace for free… from video editing work stations to servers and even home renovation. whatever he wants to do they just throw him all the hardware he requests and as long as he gives them a 2 second shout out it's all on the house. how can you lose? not only are they giving him the free hardware they're giving him all the content he needs to make more money. i hope he's kind to his employees because dude has a wonderful job

Windows has a built in MultiThreaded copy tool, it's called "Robocopy", but hey, it doesn't have a pretty front-end so stick with "ChooChoo Easy Copy" or whatever

Wow, Linus, love the vids, I've learned and applied so much from them but I'm concerned, as I think most of your fans are and rightly so. You're obsessed Linus, it's not good for you this "DATA HORDEING" that you do and it APPEARS to be spreading to your employees: "We never have to delete anything again EVER???". This is NOT a good sign Linus. I, humbly submit, that your older server gear is making it's way to your employee's homes and being used for back up to this "deleting nonsense the boss is trying to sell us". If you continue down this path. . . well I'll still watch your videos but I will NOT watch the construction of a NEW server room; it will just be to sad. 😉
