Coming from an s9 the s23 is a damn good upgrade

  1. Is S23 thicker than S22?

  2. What game was that you played while talking about putting the phone to a test

  3. If those big tech company can lower their profit mergin by at least $100, those flagship phones will be alot affordable
    Like S24 for 699, 24+ for 899 , Ultra for 1099
Apply for apple also ( iphone are ridiculously expensive for what they can offer , very little multitasking and less features , except for os smoothness, camera and battery life )

  4. Just wanted to say don't buy a phone just for the camera but buy a phone for user experience. If it works for you and you think it could last you the longest time then that's the right pick. Other people prefer bigger storage, UI, Jack, Expandable storage, Power brick inside the box and other more. Majority of reviewers focus too much on camera reviews that is why most companies main focus is only upgrading is the camera and SOC and nothing more other than that. Majority of companies today remove usable features and just upgrade the camera then they will call it an upgrade at the same time charge more for it. Majority of people won't even notice how accurate the color of your picture or how many pixels or how perfect your portrait picture in 2022 even midrange phones can take good photos already.

  5. Me watching this on my S10. Should I upgrade? I've had the s10 since it released and it's still working fine. I cracked my screen, if anything I'll probably go get that fixed. But other than that, the battery is great, I only really take pictures of the kids and watch YouTube and check email…

  6. 2% to 3% improve battry on the newer phones , huh

  7. clean and simple design is the best.

  8. the power of advertisement budget lol

  9. Hey cnet I really miss so much with lexy about review a tech smartphone, but where is she now i want she review about galaxy s23

samsung looks like vivo, oppo and xiaomi now

  10. The stop sign looks the same as with the Iphone 14, both bright red, the pixel does look more natural

  11. Charging frenzy it is ridiculous don't expect your phone to last when you super fast charge and don't please compare this super fast charge with one or another 👎

  12. Went from 21 ultra (snapdragon) to 23 ultra. I definitely recommend the upgrade if you can. Low light video and pictures are so much better. As is the stabilization. S pen is an awesome touch and all the features that come with it. 50 mp mode is a beautiful sweet spot between details, dynamic range and file size. Battery life, ufs 4.0 and a tad bit brighter screen is always a plus too

  13. Definitely the best S23 review yet! Thanks so much!

  14. I liked the metal accent around the camera bumps on the S22. The S23 looks naked without it.
That metal accent I think gave it a little class if that makes sense. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  15. So nice…but no. I've got s21 Ultra and it's awesome. It's got a smidgen better camera lens specs too, but I know, pixels aren't everything. I'm a nit-picker who has always altered pics I like to look as I want, and have mastered my technique where others think I have an iPhone each time I send out one. Don't shy away from your phone's camera's adjustments
    📱📸
Sidebar ~ The camera island on my big honker saved me from dropping it many a time, just fyi
    🤥🫳📱

  16. iPhone still better

  17. As an s23 user it still aint enough if you tend to use 120hz and 5g

  18. Minor difference from last year, not worth upgrading. Real reason for upgrade would be upcoming satelite SMS via Snapdragon CPU and app, everything else does´nt matter.

  19. Don't think the carriers are giving these phones away. My carrier is adding an extra $400 on top than if buying out right from Samsung.

  20. the s23's camera is so washed out!! look at those colorless pictures and selfies😭😭

  21. du vergleichst s23 mit pixel7 Pro ????? 🤣🤣 teste 23Ultra vs pixel 7 pro!!!!

  22. The S23 an charge at 80 watts.

  23. Today i saw s23 ultra . S22 PLUS CAMERA IS MUCH BRIGHTER

  24. I'll wait for them to drop it to $700, i can buy OnePlus 11 with better spec for less but I want this phone for its flat screen bazeless look. I hate OnePlus for shoving curve screen at our face knowing we don't want it.

  25. As long as the battery wont bloat/expand, its is a improvement.

  26. the s22 looks better, more unique

  27. I understand focusing on the camera and battery life for the new phones. But seeing that those are slight increments, I wish there was more focus on the golden nugget changes, like how does Samsung call screen work?

  28. Great review! I had S22 and intended to keep it but my carrier contract was due for renewal. With the preorder benefits, I sent back my s22 a had to pay just 100 USD to get the s23. Great deal 🙂
And I am very happy, especially with the battery (I've been using the phone for more than a week now). I can tell the phone lasts longer in every situation. I had to change my charging routine just because I don't need to charge the s23 that often. The performance is top-notch as well. Selfie camera is better too, especially in video calls.
In conclusion – the s23 is what the s22 should have been in the first place 🙂

  29. Happy Ash Wednesday, CNET

  30. I don't believe anyone choses a phone on how good the camera is.

  31. Good review, I understand the focus on the USA market but Pixel's can't even use the 5G in markets they haven't official sales ( and you know, there are many many many countries). Also, the ECG win a lock when Google detected the region of your account if haven't Google Pixel official sales so you can't use this function. It is a silly software lock without a good reason, because you give your money to Google, doesn't matter where you live. But surprisingly we can make the FitBit signature to use in a Pixel Watch around the world 🤷🏼‍♂️ funny thing.

That's put in perspective, globally Samsung lineup makes much more sense, maybe that's one of the reasons they are the number 1⁰ brand in smartphone sales.

  32. The Pixel Pro doesn´t feel premium or sleek. It looks geeky.

  33. Phone companies should stop launching phones every year. Average consumer makes a switch every two or three years, plus there is not much of an innovation left to bring out a phone every year. Better processor and little improvement in camera is not the reason left to switch ur phone every year. Last generation phones gets better with software update. I have s22 plus which is getting better with every software updates.

  34. I'm getting 8 to 9.5 hours of SOT with my base S23 on 5G and 120hz (light performance mode after 50%). My S22 was dead in 3 to 4 hours of SOT, it was total trash. I won't be upgrading for a while.

  35. Only thing wrong with the s22 lineup is battery life. This should be the ONLY reason to upgrade. Charging speed is not an issue for me. It charged fast enough. Any faster will heat up and degrade the battery faster. So no big deal.

Although i loved my s22, the s23 has been even better with efficiency and battery life. The light mode can make it so efficient it's ridiculous. I got 8 hours sot on my last charge using 120 hz n standard mode. When i tried light mode with 60 hz, i got 37 hours on a single charge. 7 hours sot and 30 hours of standby. The battery efficiency alone is worth the upgrade, it's been that good out of the box.
