Why do max settings even exist if we can barely run them? Should you buy a 3080 or 3090 if you have an older monitor, or will your older card keep you afloat for the time being?

Deals for Days. Big home savings are happening now.
I paid for the whole GPU, I'm gonna use the whole GPU.
Your face is really dumb.
My computer can run games at Max Graphics 4k with 80+ fps. Don't know what your talking about.
yes i can.
for people who look at amazing graphics all the time you can barely tell but someone like me its heaven
I'm glad that someone is talking sense into us apes. Ultra settings swag is sh*t
I have a 3050ti me like sliding, but me can no slide😭
It's like you compare Sram SX with X01. The difference is huge. But once you compare X01 to XX1, the difference is minimal.
Ive decided to go into pc gaming.
I have £1500 budget and been told o should go for rtx3060ti and don’t bother with 4k. 1440 on a 27inch monitor is the way forward
The only thing that making playing on max settings dumb is not scaling the resolution to keep it up to speed. If you can play max settings but leave the resolution scale at 100% on games then its gunna burn out your system. Balance things out if you can.
This is in game res scale in settings
Hyper or max=50-54% may drop fps here and there
Ultra=60-70
High= 70- 80
Medium= 80- 90
Low= 90-100
These are my takes on each settings.
the raytracing reminds me of black ops cold war. you don't use raytracing it runs 100+ fps. you put any raytracing on low and the game drops to 20-40 fps with an honorable mention of fps drops or lag spikes
single player games = high settings anything competitive = high fps
It's kinda surreal to see the inscription "добро пожаловать" behind the anchorman's back throughout the video, considering this is an English-only channel 😀
Ape likes ultra graphics at 10fps
This is so true. I've played grounded with frickin 720p low at like 30 fps, but it didn't even look that bad (besides the 720p of course, that was awful) but 1080p low did actually look pretty even though it was just low. The highest 1080p graphic settings (which my pc can barely run at like 10 fps lol) did look better of course, but not that huge of a difference.
That's why I always use low profile graphics card electricity is expensive here
What settings would ya'll recommend for RDR2
Specs;
Laptop
GTX 1650
I5-9300h
8 GB Ram
1440p, 120fps, medium/high settings and no/low ray tracing is my preference. It feels like the Goldilock standard for gaming
If I have the GPU, I'm going to make the most of it. So most of the time I get the settings as high as possible without going under 60fps.
Or like paying $ to run something at 240fps when your eyes barelly can see 60…
I have a somewhat recent gaming laptop, a Lenovo Legion 5 from around a year and a half ago, it's the 16gb ram and 3060 graphics card. I runs most games super well on high and ultra mix with a couple mediums thrown in, but I generally run it on mostly medium graphics except a few I'll crank up. Like, I'll always have render distance cranked to the max, I hate too much pop-in.
1:10 what color is your bogatti
I have a 3080 Ti and I play in 1440p on a Samsung G50A. I usually turn up textures all the way. There are somethings I turn down a bit. Just enough to squeeze out a few extra FPS, but still look incredible.
Why don’t you do a video testing 4K with a CPU that doesn’t bottle the GPU and compare a 3070 with a 4090 😅
When you game in 1440 or less it’s not an issue
Ultra high on 1080p monitor. Blasting 170+ fps
How many sponsors are in this video 🤦♂️
I know I believe I understand what I think y'all are saying – I'm just not sure that what I'm hearing is not what you mean
Riley, you’re a fuck’n gangsta’. I love watch’n your content. 👍
Your content is dumb. This is very subjective. Of course playing Minecraft at Max settings makes no sense.
Ok…what brokie made up this video topic to make themselves feel better and being a brokie? 🤣
No it's not
Set all my settings to medium apart from texture quality to ultra. 👍
LTT: 4k gaming is dumb – premise: hz is more important, test reality: nobody can distinguish hz, but EVERYONE can tell which is 4k, and prefers it
Also LTT: max settings is dumb – premise: fps is more important, test reality: nobody can distinguish ultra settings
Sounds to me like what LTT claims is really just Linus's subjective opinion rather than what the experiment actually shows.
Sorry I don't speak broke
Have you ever noticed that whenever you try and play on max graphics, your pc sounds like a fucking plane taking off
i had a 1050 ti, and played on medium/high settings at, for me, "acceptable framerates".
Now i upgraded to a 3060 ti, and well, i can turn everything to ultra, but i dont really notice a difference… except for the fact that my fps went from 30 to 100
i spot no difference ; – ;
This is for ppl that need to cope hard…
No mention of the power savings?
4:27 – That isn't really what the Pareto Rule (the "80/20" rule) means. But the point stands.
the only change i notice above 1440p/high settings is my electric bill doubling.
Hilarious!, But yeah i agree med/high settings 🙂
I play Minecraft with my 7 year old on PC, he's on console. The draw distance comes in handy, I can build up and see villages and what not. He'll be upgrading to a 4790k and RX580 this Christmas tho lmao
Im looking to upgrade to a 1660ti! When i upgrade im gonna use medium or high settings in games. Thank you for the advice.
lmao glasswire is so stupid just look at your task manager
I get how its unnecessary but its always good to have a setting just to show HOW GOOD a game can look without limations
Im using gt730 in 2022 🗿
