Why would you want all of this? Rather useless features for an even more insane price. I still don' t think Apple is doing the right thing, like make computing simple and more affortable I'll continue to hate them
To put the pricing into perspective, Apple's Macintosh SE in 1987 with hilarious 20MB hard drive cost $3,900 (about $10K in today's money). It had a laughable 1 MB RAM, expandable to 4 MB. So, $3,500 is actually bloody cheap.
MacBook Air 15 inch is a huge thing imo. Up until now, you had to pay a huge price to go up to 15 inch because they only offered MacBook Pros. To have a relatively cheap 15 inch laptop, my prediction is it will sell really well

Imagine all the cool and innovative ways Apple will be able to collect user data with that huge amount of cameras and mics. Specially since they seem to have 0 intention of protecting the customer and the privacy of people. This product is basically paying thousands so you can get the new cutting edge tech wiretapper. Fuck off Apple, there is no way that this thing will be good long term, screw all the endorsement this thing is getting

not so surprising. they couldn't come up with anything new in a competitive way that was impressive. but they knew if they over charged, and made it available to only those who want to spend that, then they could do what they wanted sooner. so of course it would be interesting. it had better be for nearly 4k. then they'll break, and again they'll be happy to offer repair service for the price of a new set.. it will also come with a brushed metal holder for $999
