Ever seen cool lamps made from bottles? You might have wondered how to do it yourself. Well, it’s easier than you think!
Ever seen cool lamps made from bottles? You might have wondered how to do it yourself. Well, it’s easier than you think!
Instructions:
1. Pick the bottle you want to use (This is half the fun). I prefer Jack bottles because they have a unique look and are quite fun to empty.
2. Get your materials together.
a. Pieces of an old lamp, or a lamp kit like this:
b. Glass drilling bits. You can buy at the store or order online here:
c. Empty Bottle
3. Clean out the inside of the bottle and remove all traces of alcohol.
4. Drill a hole in the bottom and feed the wiring through the bottle.
5. Hook up the lamp housing and place it into the bottle.
6. Add a light bulb and shade and fire it up!

Is there a way Doing this Without the use of Power Tools ?
I drill under water, same when I need to trim glass panels. As long as it's under water it will not break, I've cut a circle from window glass once. But when you do a bottle make sure the pressure is equalized. ((No air in bottle)).
What kinda stopper did you use
How do you do this without the bottle from breaking?
Does it matter on the size of the bottle?

Pour on it water while drilling, its so much easier and wont wreck the drill bit.

Dear that my thinking, you are taking whiskey bottle, need a good wash, as its contain alcohol and alcohol will catch fire even more quickly if not well clean and will eventually kill someone.
