I wonder if apple stole this idea
As someone who has worked in the industry I don't think one lens is enough due to physical factors unless you are just going for a 180 view in which case the edges likely get very soft.

That is not anything new (dome).
There is an IMAX screen over in Science City at St. Louis MO that is dome like the Vegas Sphere.
I went there 25+ years ago.
I am not sure if it is still around or not.
