Awesome Tips Lutron Caseta Review and 2020 Updates
Is Lutron Caseta still worth it? Lutron is known as some of the best smart light switches, but they are definitely expensive. I will talk about why you might want Lutron in 2020 (or maybe not) to help you decide. There are also a few new Lutron controllers I will talk about, like a motion sensor, range extender, and Aurora paddle switch.

*Update!*
Apparently there is a 1 minute timeout on the motion sensor. Thanks to Arthur Lejawka who gave me the tip. It's under the first point under the Sensor section in https://www.casetawireless.com/faqs How you do it is hold down the Timeout button and the current setting light will start blinking but keep holding the button until all 3 LEDs start blinking fast. Then let go of the button and hold the button one more time to lock in the 1 minute time out. To make sure it's in 1 minute timeout just press the Timeout button and all 3 LEDs will light up. I tested it out and it works great.
Hey, are there any 3 gang 2 way dimmable smart switch?
Hi Ree, i am using Smartthings v3 hub, can i set an automation to turn on a group of light through lutron dimable switch in particular brightness and specific time when a motion sensor detected a movement?
or if it doesn't work on smartthings, can you do it on lutron app?
thanks in advance for the answer
Trying to find out why my lights flicker sometimes really didn't happen until we got our new ac and these light switches so I thought maybe these were the problem
I do not like your 10yr projection! Other then that nice video. 🙃
If Kane is president, I'll have to see what smart home devices are available in Canada…
I think there is a 1 minute option, isn't there?
I rather have a smart kinetic switch…
How did you do that see-thru ipad?
Do you know if there is any lutron duplex for a single pole? I don't have neutral and I have some duplex in one pole. thx
Thanks for sharing I have a question I have no router in my home the only internet I have is my smartphone but I can tether a hotspot to my other devices well Lutron work with this
I'm beyond pleased with the dimmer switch/remote combo that I bought for my bedroom. Haven't tried expanding beyond that yet, but this "non-smart" arrangement for a light switch by my bed was a smart choice.🤓
Thanks Brother! Are these switches WiFi? Also how is the compatibility with Smartthings? Love your Videos!
I used the scene program to turn motion sensor off and on. I used scene to turn porch light off at 10:00pm and then use motion sensor outdoors to turn porch light back on with motion. Then deactivate motion sensor before sunrise.
Reed, still waiting for your Amazon basics smart switch review, I jump in full blown Amazon and I love them, reasonably priced and works 100% so far, cone on man get that review!!!
Do you need to buy the bridge to use these switches?
Do you know if these switches are compatible with Hue?
Would you recommend the regular bridge or the pro verson? Did you use the regular bridge?
Hey guys, trying to decide which type of switches to use. I do have a neutral wire available, but if I don't have the hub for this lutron switch will I still get full capabilities? Like scheduling, scenes, timers etc.?
Feels more like an advertisement than a review.
I've run into an issue where the lights do not come on (I'm assuming they've lost connection) I've had to have one switch replaced and since then the lights do not turn on twice. It's frustrating that the packaging does not offer much in the way of troubleshooting. Any resources anyone can recommend?
Excellent
🤣🤣🤣 Subscribing to the channel for the next 10 years to find out!!!!
Can other hubs work with Lutron? Having to buy a second hub hurt$.
Thanks for all your dedication!! I love your videos!! Can you do a versus between Lutron dimmer and tp link switcher… please!
Do the lights come on if you press the dimmer buttons or do you have to press the "on" button specifically?
Do lutron caseta switches work with 240v
Bought a bunch of these switches, none of them worked. Every time I needed to pull off that tab below for lights to actually come on. Tech support is useless said they wiull only reply to me in 2 days. Returned all of it will buy something better.
I need one of those futuristic iPads. 😁
Great video!
Does Lutron make a indoor smart plug?
I have not been able to find my answer to one question on google at all: Will Lutron be able to control my Ring "StepLight" 's?
And if so, would they be able to do so without the need for a "Ring Bridge"?
Thank you so much for your videos, as always
Two things I like about the Lutron system. I can still control them when the internet it down and the wireless signal works even in areas other wireless stuff does not, even through metal shielding.
