  1. You can install DUO and make speaker to speaker voice calls. It rings in that room you can either tap the speaker or say "Hey google anwser" 'Hey Google call office speaker" or make a phone call like "Hey Google call my sexy wife" it connects to Google some where and places a call to my wife's phone. From my phone If I use Google asisant and say Hey Google it connects to google using Duo and .then connects her phone with Duo and we have a vidio voice call by passing our phone provider all done as an IP call. The If I want to use my provider I open my phone and dial her, and its a normal voice call. So I'm adding them to every room.

  2. dude how ya still watching this channel, i have that same ceiling fan how do i put that on my nest hub>>>>>??

  3. Just the video I was looking for! I wish I went with a Nest doorbell, I love my Ring but it’s just not as good as the Nest

  4. Do which Google device do most prefer?

  5. Great video! Quick question: Can I pair the same devices to Google Home and Alexa at the same time? I was wondering if I can use both assistants to control Wifi Plugs, Lights, Switchbots, … assuming the devices are compatible with both assistants of course.

  6. As of 2021, Amazon Echo automatically displays a doorbell camera (and Blink camera) on an Echo Show screen or TV (with Amazon Firestick).

  7. Amazon Alexa is the best for home automation, it has the most skills.
Echo dot 4th generation has zigbee builtin (to control my blinds, doorlock, etc.).
Also, Google can't add a device to more than 1 room or group; example: kitchen and family room are adjacent to each other and I want the lights in both room to turn
off if I say all, as well as independently turning off either room.
Alexa is inexpensive so I bought 8 to equip every room with Amazon Alexa for voice control so that I can just ask 'turn off the lights' and the echo in that room

knows to turn off those lights and not other lights in the house.
Google app's fonts are really really really tiny for my old eyes.
All 8 of my Amazon Echo devices have a clock… very convenient to tell the time or see a timer's countdown.
or better sound, I have a few of my Amazon Echo dot 3 with clock output the sound via its 3.5mm headphone jack to my Denon HEOS speakers.
New home automation users who want zigbee to communicate with blinds, door locks, lightbuilbs, etc. can just buy the Amazon Echo 4th generation with builtin zigbee.

  8. hey you know how I can make my screen and audio follow me around the house while I go from room to room?
I mean like using a door sensor to make the transition then when you enter a room the screen from that room suddenly wakes from sleep and starts playin what I was watchin with seamless transition.
    maybe IFTTT?

Right now I have an echo dot in the living room and a Google home mini in the bedroom.

  9. I assume google can do this as well but if I want to turn on my lights I can just say “Alexa, lights” and to turn it off I just say “Alexa, lights off”

  10. Any word on when 3rd party devices and sensors will be able to trigger the aforementioned Google routines you mentioned near the end of this video almost a year ago in Google Home?… I just bought a Amazon Flex (and disabled the mic, because I don't trust Amazon) solely for 3rd party devices and sensor activated automations from a variety of manufacturers in my smart home… After using my new Echo Flex for close to a week for JUST this, I can confidentially say Google really needs to up it's game when it comes to is own set of routines!

  11. Ring doorbell opens up the video automatically on the echo show 5 for me.

  12. Do you know if there is any way to access Pinterest on the Nest? Or if you’ve heard any plans regarding this? I use Pinterest for recipes and would be great to pull up saved boards to use recipes I have pinned

  13. I need to connect to internet

  14. I'm very judicious when 'subscribing,' but halfway through this video, I went ahead and subscribed. I currently have eight HomePod(s), but I'm tired of waiting for Apple to get Siri to work. I'm gonna order one of these, maybe two.

  15. How do you setup the ring door bell with nest hub??

  16. Hello how do you send a recipe you found on your phone to google hub?

  17. When is google going to update to initiate a scene from another device?

  18. Thanks, Informative video. As a newbie to the whole scene, I have just a few questions,

Sounds like a Google home device can do most of the things without the need for a hub. How accurate is that assumption? Say all I want in a smart home is home media system control, lighting control, and maybe a snartlock along with a few motion sensors, do I still need to buy a hub? And if so, which would you recommend?

Playing music across different rooms is awesome, but I'm skeptical of the quality those tiny speakers produce(haven't used them though). Any workaround to solve that?

It looks like there are several Google home and Alexa devices, maybe you should do a video on those, comparing prices, pros and cons etc. I'm seeing tiny lil speakers, devices with screens etc. Give us your experience using all those and advice on which is best value.

Thank you for your awesome channel. It's been really helpful💯

  19. I actually have an echo dot and two minis but it is so time-consuming changing routines for one and verifying they aren't there for the other. Of course, the annoying part is the fact that the two devices do not interact. I would love to see this in the future but I doubt it will happen. It would be great to be able to simply transfer music playing from an echo dot to a mini or force push an update to a device name that you changed. Alexa is pretty good about pulling those changes through but Google has yet to really put this in yet. I use Alexa to control my lighting and I use Google for the kitchen where I am more likely to search for stuff or retrieve recipes.

I obviously messed up not having my subscription to your channel notifying of all videos. Going back to these, very helpful, funny, and dang we have too much in common. #CinnamonLife. Really funny and love the family included. The boss of our house is definitely the 3 year old!

  20. Excellent video. Thanks.

  21. I have a question. I'm using nest and have some wiz lights and govee lights set to it. Anyway to set this stuff up so that when there is a power outage and the power comes back on, all these lights dont all come on? Really annoying in the middle of the night

  22. I already have ring doorbell..in which it's not working with..f….Google…I love Google though…oooopppp

  23. I'm now more confused than ever before…don't know what to choose..is it Google nest or echo…

  24. Hello, i'm new here I just bought a house and I would like to purchase nest security cameras will the nest security camera videos show up on the echo show? or will I have to buy the nest hub?

  25. I use voice command to display my wyze cams on echo show or my fire tv

  26. Google Home CAN "drop in", well sorta, you just have to say "Hey Google, broadcast to XXXRoom – Dinner is ready." It will then only send your message to that room. They can respond by saying the same prefix.
