  1. people will buy it. They always do. Just like those Overpriced GPU's

  2. This subscription model is NEVER GONNA FLY WELL with EU and Asian markets. Massive L for Logitech. Im glad I switched to Razer.

  3. Even I could do a better job than the hotshot CEO

  4. Maybe make a mouse where the buttons don't wear out in like… 2-4 years. Then we can start talking about a monthly subscription lol

  5. This is the logical conclusion of basically any capitalist economy: All businesses want to grant themselves the right to turn you into a renter, with a monthly withdrawal from your account for their product.

HP's CEO exposed similar desires and the company recently had to walk them back. They were absolutely going to force a subscription model for their printers and ink.

  6. what's funny about 6:45 is that me personally just buy the g502 over and over when it breaks lol. I think I've bought like 3 since it's release and been using it for the last decade for everything lol. The only mouse I bought that wasn't g502 was the original mx master.

  7. Oooooooh now i get it. She means constant renewal of the warranty with "getting upgrades". Right?

    RIGHT?

    (still shitty though🤣)

  8. Saas will be the death of the American consumer….”smart” CEO’s will attempt to get subscriptions for everything from your thermostat in your home to simply starting your car to using your vacuum to listening to music….you name it. Greed will be all of our downfall, it’s not a surprise that quarter over quarter public companies are attempting to reinvent the wheel over and over. In the meantime our ftc, cpa and such are powerless to protect consumers from our overlords.

  9. What this deluded CEO didn't understand is that a Rolex watch is a jewel, which is used as a speculative asset for rich people, just like art.

The difference being that a Rolex watch is made to outlive whatever amount of owners it may have whereas a Logitech mouse starts to double click within two years or less.

So if she wants to think that her crappy mice is going to outlive customers and be able to charge for it a monthly subscription, I say let her fuck around and find out. It's high time we got a peripheral hardware manufacturer that takes its products and costumers seriously and not one who is complacent and thinks that can do the same bullshit Apple does and get away with it.

  10. my IQ has already dropped severely and im only 2 minutes in.

also, in the past 5 years ive gone through 9 mice from logitech to razor to steel series- finally gave up spending serious money and settled for cheap walmart brand. im not even some elite hyper gamer, literally just cannot go a few months without one of the buttons or the scroll wheel crapping itself.

"forever mouse" I will forever see this woman as a blithering moron.

  11. Why a lady is problem

  12. If so, goodbye Logitech!

  13. ill wait for a chinaese clone with similar quality

  14. "Great software" really? Does she used they're own products?

  15. 😂 thats a late april fool joke or ?

  16. Can we all just collectively band together and stop buying their terrible products? ALL peripherals are outclassed by their competitors now. All we do is enable this company to think that it's okay to do this and think in this way.

  17. CEOs are sociopaths. They are oblivious to human response and only perform for the entity the run.

  18. It’s a fcking mouse, but let’s be honest, large corporations like Logitech operate on the proviso of greed and they know subscription is the gravy train to achieve that, pretty hard when your core product lines are essentially throw away items.

  19. Andrew Tate is right, women ruin everything.

  20. i dont think i have bought a new mouse since 2009.

  21. Finalmouse ULX User, Logi can eat my down south. I'd never purchase something like this.

  22. Feels a lot like the TV show Silicon Valley where the CEO has no clue what the fuck their market is about.

  23. next product the "forever underwear"!

  24. this "diamond encrusted" bullshit tactic again UGH

  25. We should boycott all subscription systems! We need to get OWNERSHIP back!

  26. looks like logitech has found its graveyard goodluck!

  27. tryna pull a BMW

  28. as long as the mouse gives me an aimbot then y not LMAO this CEO is worst than some of the big gaming company like EA

  29. a forever mouse but… forgets that theres always improvement in the hardware space or capacitors being leaky sure thing logitech give me a mouse with a lifetime warranty then we start talking and give me batteries that can fit in a pocket that doesnt leak in 100 years from now

so either this will be a mouse thats made with an amorphous substance think Oobleck, HYPER MODULAR literally you can hot swap parts, AND INSANELY REPAIRABLE you probably need wires and no components to fix this mouse

  30. That is the problem when you have money only thinking monkey as a CEO over an Engineer. 😊

  31. what kind of mouse that need an update?! wha??

  32. Annoying 💢. Dont need everything on earth to be fees to use something. Spartacus Rebellion Spirit rumbling.

  33. What software update does a mouse need?

  34. We've learned that subscription service in everyday tech nowadays is more akin to limiting the basic function that are already available as a hardware built in to the device cough BMW heated seat *cough*. Imagine, you were using your PC normally and suddenly you cannot click anything, and there's a pop-up notification: "Your mouse has already reach the 10.000 clicks limit, please update your subscription plan to add additional clicks".

  35. A diversity hire CEO about to destroy another company maintaining that 100% failure rate.

  36. I mean from an E-waste perspective, yeah a forever mouse sounds great. But yeah thats not what it looks like shes goong for here. Just hoping for easy money from subscription service.

  37. Subscription mouse…? What’s next subscription keyboard? Sink? Mirror? Might as well just make absolutely everything we use a subscription at this point 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️

  38. Guess it's time to switch anyway

  39. but Rolex doesn't double-click after a few months of use? 🤔

  40. this women needs to get her head smacked back into reality, its like saying oh you get a forever phone you just pay monthly for updates, but eventually the phone will lag the chip cant keep up ect, but with a mouse? whats the software with a mouse please tell me

  41. I feel sorry for the sane people at Logitech without any control over bullshit like this but have to be on board to sell it.

  42. A forever mouse wouldn’t even work, a mouse has a life span and using it burns through it

  43. As a proud owner of a completely generic mouse that has been working for years, I'm going to say "Nah, I'm good thanks."

  44. stupidity going out the roof =))))))))))))). imagine logitech when hardware won't be able to support new features. or imagine the way we know logitech u pay subscription for software and have 2 years warranty on hardware =)))))))). this women has no ideea what a mouse is and how it works. send her back to sell shampoo and soap maybe she will come with an ideea of forever shampoo. u pay once for a bottle of shampoo and with a subscription u get refills every month eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee forever shampooooooooooooo

  45. Um… isn't every mouse a "forever" mouse? The only time I change my mouse is when I was stupid and broke it, or I find one that has an extra feature I want to try out; neither of which will be fixed by software updates. Otherwise I'm perfectly happy with mine. I move the mouse, the cursor moves on the screen; I click a button, and an action happens on the computer. How much more "forever" can you make it?

  46. Why and how someone from FMCG gets to be a CEO from a general customer level hardware company?

  47. BTW this is FAR from the only company trying to do this. From automotive, music, all the way to farmer's equipment: THE CORPORATIONS WANT YOU TO OWN NOTHING. THEY THINK YOUR PURCHASE IS NOT OWNERSHIP.

All we have to do is not buy. Not even once. Tell everyone you know to not buy. Urge them. Please please dont let indifference plague you…

  48. i have zero logitech products on my desk right now compared to 10 years ago.

  49. So… Logitech is trying to become a jewelry store? Are subscription payers going to receive random gemstones monthly (or equivalent), with the bonus of the mouse software updates? And of course if you stop paying you'll lose access to the app immediately, not even able to use past versions, leaving you with 0 value provided.

Logitech… thank you, but no, and F-off to the subscription models specially for hardware that you flat out paid for. (I'll immediately skip any subscription-based hardware the moment I see it mentioned even as a "maybe").

  50. none of my mouses survived longer than 3 years in good condition – usually the scrolls are faulty after this time
and she wants to make "forever" mouse? what if my scroll will be faulty after these 3 years? subscription will cover it and they will replace it as a part of the deal or what?
