I got back from my brother's house with enough pc parts to build my first pc but the day I got back I was working on a truck with my dad and we were starting it by pouring gas in the carburetor and it backfired and got gasoline on me and caught fire and was in the hospital for a week and got out today, I have some narly pictures now
David, in another life we could have been best friends and if that was the case, this never would have been a conversation and you'd STILL be hoarding all this stuff. For some of this stuff, I would have even gone as far as kept it at my place until you could find space. We'd be the worst for each other in the best possible way.

The secret to breaking a hoarding compulsion is having to move multiple times in a relatively short span without knowing of that eventuality going in. You go from "yeah I know it's a lot of stuff to pack and haul but I can handle it" to "okay I can afford to winnow this down a bit to make life easier on everyone" to "this is the fifth house I'm moving to in 7 years and I never even bothered unpacking those boxes after the third move, clearly I can get rid of ALL that stuff!"

I already have a collection around 1/4th of that, but it's not something i'm probably ever willing to get rid of.
Do i ever play any of the games? No. I'll play something maybe a few times a year, but i'm collecting stuff for the sake of collecting. At least it's a hobby

Ahhh so thats where all that money goes you have to sink into 10 year old war thunder all of a sudden to keep up. Check the reviews Linus please. That game has no place in a video that is about games you can just keep playing that you have spent money on already…

I completely understand how David feels. It's goten better in the last few years, but the hoarding instinct is hard to fight when you have it.

Most of this seems like a good choice, but man Linus could not have been more wrong about PS3 emulation. It is so definitely not in a good enough spot to justify getting rid of old games and consoles, and there is no real time frame in which it will be good enough.
