  1. The Ryzen 7 7700X3D does not exist, We meant the Ryzen 7 7700X

  2. I like the short but the clicking sound when the clips titles show up ramps up my anxiety. It sounds like electricity clicking in socket.

  3. Linus went back to his second form lol 😂

  4. I thought I saw ryzen 4070

  5. I feel Linus should start selling prebuilts

  6. The easiest and the most noticeable from the spec sheet on the web is the CPU name especially with intel
They can just say Intel i7 8 core and didn't specify which generation then when it's come into your hand it's actually a 10 years old intel i7

  7. #QuestionForLinus : when does it stop being "worth it" to upgrade your system and just buy a new one?

I have a i-5 11th gen which was a MASSIVE (hehe) leap up from the i5-5th gen previously in my old rig because that system had ddr3 ram and a bunch of other outdated parts and im weary to keep upgrading this new system since there's stuff like drr5 now, new games needing about 8gbs of vram to run minimum settings, etc. it gets scary for a nerd like me to shill out money if it's all ganna be obsolete in a few months

  8. Ryzen 7 7700X3D and ryzen 4070 is best cpu gpu combo, all you need now is some ddr6-21000

  9. Solid advice, I saw hardware unboxed talking about how the user account being the administrator gives a boost to Ryzen in windows 11. Which sounds like a small piece of configuration a good pre-built might take into consideration.

I made my own custom iso, and it appears I’ve blocked myself out of even using the command prompt to make myself administrator. Even though my account has administrator privileges and is marked as administrator in windows settings.

Quite interesting, I think allot of the value of a prebuilt is the software package and it’s install. Free-Ski is a must. Just watch for bears when yr skiing or blazing by the creek.

  10. I think it is a pointless discussion as far as quality because It most likely comes down to the individual staff who did your build, I dont believe there is anyone doing always bad builds or always good builds, this is part of the reason when you read reviews you see raving reviews and terrible reviews for the same brands

  11. I got a (second) HP pre built awhile ago, it's ok but with a 5700g and 6600xt and single channel 16gb (only supports dual channel ram and I am unable to access the bios plus the mobo is completely custom) it's not bad, but it's good enough that at 1080p I don't need fsr to play cyberpunk at pretty good settings(60 fps). Overall I don't recommend HP even tho I have no major issues just small inconveniences that kinda piss me off.

  12. I don't understand the problem with the Ryzen 7 7700X3D and 4080 super unless it's price to performance. Can someone let me know what's wrong with it?

  13. My opinion, the PSU is one of the biggest indicators. If they cheap out on the PSU, you know they don't give a shit. It's better to have a weaker, but more stable and secure PC, than a stronger firecracker.

  14. Hi

  15. It's worth it if it has a Ryzen 4070

  16. The trick is to ask a tech-savvy friend for advice on a pre-build. I’ve helped advise friends in this manner who aren’t confident enough to build their own PC and want the warranty / support some prebuilds come with.

  17. he really misses looking out for what parts they go cheap on. i got one from microcenter thinking itd be good, til the power supply/motherboard went bad 2 years later

  18. When is the next amd tech upgrade

  19. Have you reviewed the ryzen 4070? No blonde hair this time, seems to have been already recorded

  20. I'm generally a bit wary of prebuilts because I've seen them cut corners on all the parts that aren't that eye catching in an ad. Weak power supplies that make it hard to upgrade later on, slow RAM or storage, low quality fans, stock coolers and so on.

  21. During 2020 I bought a prebuilt from ibuypower as I had no knowledge about pc’s and was a bit hesitant about building my own rig.. Fast forward nearly 5 years later I’ve upgraded upon it substantially I couldn’t made a better choice. It honestly was a nice way to get my footing in and eventually teach myself about PC’s, Now I’m nearly on it everyday lol.

  22. @LinusTechTips  Am I right in thinking that the 7800x3d & 4080 super is a good combo

  23. I bought a prebuilt iBuyPower PC in 2021 in an emergency situation (doing an internship for the U.S. Department of Energy from home at 33 years old with a wife and kids after I finished college and my Dell Inspiron 3650 started dying and I needed whatever PC I could get). ASRock A320M/ac motherboard, generic 500w power supply, MSI GeForce RTX 2070, 16GB DDR4 RAM, iBuyPower brand case fans, 2 of which stopped working and generic 1TB SSD which died shortly after. Ran Windows on a 1TB HDD which was a pain until I could recently buy a WD Black 2TB NVME SSD which is AWESOME but a bad storm came through the other day and I didn't have my modem and router plugged in to surge protection like an idiot and lightning hit the house and fried my modem, router, power supply and motherboard. Thankfully everything else is okay. I am CompTia A+ & Security+ certified but basically rushed through the classes and hadn't done real PC maintenance since the early 2000s when I was a teenager. I work in I.T. for a major State college here but it's simple Dell stuff. Your videos, especially your POV PC building video (which is AWESOME!) restored my confidence and tonight my 8 year old and I are doing a motherboard swap (same motherboard for convenience since a new one is $100), installing a Thermaltake 750w power supply and all new Corsair AR120 RGB case fans. It isn't the most high end build, but it's what I've got dang it and runs Skyrim at ultra high graphics, Wii games at increased resolution through Dolphin Emulator, the SIms 4 for my wife and I've had decent performance through Starfield BEFORE the update that was supposed to fix stuff. TL;DR is basically Linus and team thank you for providing entertaining yet educational content. If I ever get to visit Canada some day, I'm coming to B.C. You may never read this comment, and that's understandable (I find it hard to keep up with 1,833 subscribers) but just wanted someone at LMG to know that y'all are appreciated by us nerds, even those of us here in rural Appalachia.

  24. Not buying a prebuilt that doent use a ryzen 4070

  25. the only prebuilts I buy are used pcs that I can get for cheap and upgrade

  26. Wait. URLs don't work in shorts. You have to copy them and paste them. SO MANY MORE CLICKS TO SEE THE SPONSORSHIP!

  27. A shitty thing a lot of companies are doing these days, is using DRAMless SSDs–and not even in just budget builds, but some upper mid to high end.

Something like the WD Blue SN550 pops up…and I have some people in my FB feed or friends of friends that end up getting it replaced by their PCs manufacturer after like 6 months, or replacing it themselves with something better.

So if you can, double check that.

  28. What 4070 ti super are you buying for $1029.99???

  29. commenting to make comment #70

  30. Where is Eminem linus

  31. Linus looks like an undercover woodelf hiding among humans

  32. The biggest issue is the fact that the most known tech stores sell poorly buit PC's (At least in my country). I bought a prebuilt pc 4 years ago and only about a couple of months ago I figured out that the supposed "intake fans" which were placed at the top of the case were actually blowing the air out of case, as was the exhaust fan… The case was so cheap and horribly designed that the front panel didn't have any openings for a fan to get air from. So, not only did my pc not get fresh air for 3+ years, but I had to take the front panel off and mount the fans at the front without a mesh, so all the dust got in. I eventually replaced the case, and my conclusion is that most prebuilt pc sellers price their pc's according to the numbers (Cpu, gpu, ram etc.) but don't take into account the build quality and airflow

  33. ryzen 7700x3d leaked

  34. You forgot the almighty Ryzen 4070!

  35. Also buy the PC for the games you want to play

  36. If the PC builder starts talking about hot glue, run. It's a real pain to do any upgrades when everything is hot glued in place.

  37. It's very easy: there's no good pre built, the only good computer is the one you build yourself with accurately selected parts and assembled by you knowing exactly what you did and why.

  38. Ulness youre buying from a company series about quality, youre going to get the lowest end parts possible.

  39. Ryzen 4070 is the best pre-built
