Comments

  1. I’d use it as an alarm so I don’t wake anyone near me up. Or just bog stand things like watching TV instead of using a headphone and have headphone fatigue. Always fun to be a part of the deviousGang

  2. 0:56 "Elijah needs to tell you about our sponsor"
Cut to Linus telling you about their sponsor.'

  3. I will just theme song of hub in street to my friend across the street and follow him around whole day "deviousGang"

  4. The audible ultrasonic interference is essentially Fourier transforms which are a maths thing that allow you to create any wave form you want by interfering a lot of sine waves together at different frequencies. It seems like magic but the maths works. The maths is also gibberish, so you're better off looking at a graphical representation of it because it makes WAY more intuitive sense.

  5. I saw a small docu on this on discovery channel or ngc like 20 years ago… nothing new to me

  6. Thanks Elijah🎉 DeviousGang

  7. What could possibly go wrong? No one or Gov’t would ever exploit this in a bad way, right?

  8. DeviousGang

  9. Being Elijah's fav viewer made my day. <3 u 2. DeviousGang.

  10. I feel like all of Elijah's favorite viewers should group together and form some kind of DeviousGang

  11. It's not becuse they bend around corners, it's because they bounce off, and penetrate through, surfaces.

  12. So, it mixes ultrasonic sound with only the phases of the original sound that goes further than X degres width ? So the wider phases goes silent but the most centric phases degres are still played and amplified by that array ?

Looks like the first « audio fresnel lense » x)

  13. DeviousGang

  14. I would love something like this! I wanna make a party sombrero!!!!!!

  15. DeviousGang also Hi Elijah

  16. Not sure if it was the same tech but a retailer I worked for showcased similar sound cones about 12/13 years ago.

  17. If I keep getting locked ltt members only content in my feed, I'll unsubscribe and block the channel.

  18. This array technology is also used in the small radar dishes in (fighter) planes.

I think this video needed a bit more in-depth explanation about interference pattern.

  19. Oh I know one of the guys tasked to research this speaker tech, it was like 5-10 years ago. (I never confirmed if he broke through though), but I laughed when I heard the idea. And look where we are now lol, I was wrong, it now exists 😛

  20. I'm not exactly sure what pranks I'd get up to with this, but imagine being able to have this as your desk speakers positioned to catch you but not your mic! Your ears would be physically free without any annoying echo on the line 😄
    – Not so DeviousGang

  21. I walked into a Pharmacy back in 2013 and they had speakers like this on the tv. Freaked me out when I walked under it and heard it in my head.

  22. DeviousGang

  23. DeviousGang

  24. oh thanks elijah!
my plan with this speaker? to have my revenge to my annoying neighbors. setting it with alarm sound, plays it at 3am. DeviousGang

  25. DeviousGang

  26. DeviousGang

  27. In b4 LTT has a video about HOLOPLOT speakers and the insane spatial imaging they can achieve #DeviousGang

  28. would be fun to prank a person in believing god is talking to them

  29. 4:20 They got the moves.

  30. Love you too Elijah! Gaming in bed while the other half is asleep? DeviousGang

  31. are we not going to talk abotu the huge screwdriver?

  32. Devious Gang, let's go

  33. This speaker would be great for making people hunt a leaking water pipe
    #deviousgang

  34. Miniaturized active denial weapon…

  35. This would be good for rhythm game machines so that you aren't bombarded with so much noise in arcades and can hear your own song better

  36. 110% repeatedly rickrolling someone reapeatedly but like very quietly so they think their crazy #deviousgang

  37. Clickbait title is clickbait

  38. Read an article able this 20+ years ago. Originally developed for war/ "terrorism" situations. Able to pinpoint an attack on a person rendering that person "useless"

  39. Team Elijah.

  40. I'm just worried about hearing damage.. Isnt that a concern if it's that loud?

  41. My buddy used to have a subwoofer and you could change the base to any corner of the room you're in it was cool

  42. that's actually crazy

  43. Never heard of Sennheiser Audiobeam!?? It"s the same! 15-20 Years old😬

  44. i like how he wonderes how they find him,, but he is firing a verrrrrry directed sound,, and the human ears are pretty good at detecting sounds from one direction if there is no interfearence,, and in this case, it removes pretty much all of it., if my understanding of how it works is correct, then it would be much easier to detect its source than a normal sound.

  45. It would be hard to hide a speaker like that, unless you could build it into the back of a laptop screen or tablet. A laptop would probably be better, as with practice the aiming could be passed off as opening the laptop and adjusting the screen. I could see someone annoying the lecture presenter with that, all while appearing to take notes.
I could also see someone thinking "find the speaker in Linus's house" is fun.
Unfortunately I'm not great at being devious, DeviousGang.
