That 3080 basically lost it for Luke. Broken FAN + bad airflow case put it basically on par with the 3070. Also can't believe they were unable to find a better cheap AM4 CPU to swap into that mobo. Another BIG mistake was not taking some FANs out the junk systems for free out of that container. I would probably prefer if both teams had a day or two more time.

lmao luke system was gpu overclocked so hard it prob thermal throttled in sottr with rtx on ultra stuff so hard that it barely rendered 46 frames while the cpu was pushing almost 77

Real life hack that I learned last year… buy a cheap chair that gets what you need, and spend a few bucks on a replacement set of wheels… seriously good wheels make a chair so much better. The most expensive wheels I have are literally wheels from in-line skates, and the 5-wheel set for my chair was $15. This chair glides across hard floor and carpet alike.

I don't want to specifically blame Nicholas for this. At this point, he just represents a lot of other people. And those people really need to understand what those things are.

There ALWAYS is an amp at some point in the signal chain to drive a speaker. That amp might be part of the speaker but there always is an amp. And external amp does not automatically equal good amp. The amps in my active KRK studio speakers are certainly a lot better than that amp bolted to the table.

And there ALWAYS is a DAC. DAC means nothing more than Digital Analog Coverter. Since our brains can't comprehend digital audio signals, there always needs to be a DAC to covert the digital signal to an analog one. Even the audio out of your motherboard has at least two DACs. One for the right and one for the left channel. Those things people are referring to as DACs are just external DACs. So could we please all shift to saying something like EDAC? Because saying "I don't use the audio out of my motherboard, I use a DAC instead" is basically like saying "I don't game on a graphics card, I game on a GPU instead.". Wouldn't it drive you mad if it would be normal to say something like that?

It always amazed me the diffrences vs us EU peeps. Esp as a swede we do take recycling seriously here, almost to much. I used to work at a drop off for electronic "waste" and saw so many perfectly good systems i just wanted to take home. But it would count as stealing property despite the fact that ppl just goes there to dump their stuff to get recycled.
They don't do free giveaways either, it's all going to the recycling plant.
I guess the only relatable thing would be that you can get free furniture. Usualy old ikea stuff since it's what basically everyone starts with when they move to their first appartment/home.
So people often gives it away once they move for the 2nd time.
