I'm ready to upgrade and just build an entire PC. Mine was a budget build in 2015 and I've only upgraded the original Nvidia 770 to the 1070 and the HHD to a NVMe M.2 SSD. The machine honestly still works pretty damn well, but if I were to upgrade anything, it would be the i5 3330. But my motherboard is old and can't take anything better than 3rd gen. At this point, I will want a new motherboard so I can have a better CPU, my GPU is getting old and I could use a bit more RAM and SSD and for all of this would need a new power supply. So… no point in replacing pieces, I'm just gonna make the mega build of my dreams.
Have been needing to upgrade my PC for a few years now because it can no longer run Red Dead 2. Now that I actually want to play it. I've done a lot of research on the specific error and found that it just kind of randomly happens to those who are unlucky. Would a factory reset of my PC maybe fix it? The game will run ok on clean install but after the first launch it doesn't work
CPU -> if you bought the flag ship wait 8 to 10 years GPU -> 4 or 5 years, depends on your standards RAM -> if you have at least 32gb don''t bother, change it when you change your CPU if it require another DDR standard SSD/HDD -> when it's close to dying PSU -> when it's dead asuming you bought a powerfull one in the first place Case -> when it brakes
I played from 2020 to some days ago with a 3200g at ow2, mw2 22 and R6 I upgraded to 5600 with RX 7600 and is good enough And I needed it because playing especially mw2 was painful
If all the games you're playing are running a steady 70fps+ on 1080p. You're seriously fine. 144fps+ 1440p is for people with 2000$+ expendable funds every month.
I use a 2nd gen intel
Only upgrade when something breaks. Only reason I'm getting a 4060 is because my 1060 died in a freak accident.
Spot on, Linus. This is also what I teach my kid, he's 13. A PC should be balanced according to your needs.
Dont trust that eben fuentes lookin guy, he overclocked a ryzen 1700 and lost whilst spending 2x on his graphics card hahaha
Me with my Ryzen 5 5600g .
Im good
always buy the most expensive parts

When should you really upgrade your PC: whenever you feel like, itβs your money.
Period.

Lossless Scailing made upgrades unnecessary π
