  9. Is this dock usable on PS5? and if anyone knows can you use both the ssd and hdd on the ps5 with the expansion slot? Would you be able to manage storage on both separately via the PS5?

  10. Instantly buying it 🙂 thanks for the help I was looking for something like this

  12. Could you boot windows externally from that nvme drive?

  13. what the fuck, don't put your laptop in a small space like that it needs air flow or it'll over heat, amateurs man…

  14. for those who didn't know, you can technically open up the dock and put in an ssd, i';ve seen someone do it. Its just a normal seagate hdd that's in there and the connection points are standard. the only thing is you might need to 3d print standoffs for an ssd so that it doesn't snap

  15. so ordinary laptop will show heavy graphic games when external card used?

  17. I was wondering would you recommend this for storage and usage for other apps like music production applications or video applications?

  18. Would you recommend this for the Xbox Series X ?

With this FireCuda Gaming Dock would I be able to extend two monitors on my laptop? Not only duplicate the two monitors, but extend them

  22. Well, I must be in a minority where it is useful. I have a laptop. I like to game. I have a job. I take my laptop to work. I game at home. Games take up most of my SSD on my laptop but I don't play them at work so I don't need to take them with me. This dock, allows me to plug in witrh one cable at home straight into my gaming setup (keyboard, mouse, monitor, headphones). It stores all my games, powers my laptop, plugs me in to all my peripherals, keeps my desktop tidy, has some nice aesthetics, saves me time. What's not to love…. oh and I got mine for £249 (a year after release)

  23. If you use Mac, DONT BUY THIS!!! I have this dock for my both win laptop and MacBook, it makes crazy heat when it works with mac and never having any issue with win laptop. After 2 months of use, it starts to keep losing USB connections if you have all usb connected to it on mac, the wired thing is I have no issue on win laptop.

I am using 2020 mbp 13 and xps 15 9570, connected my logi keyboard, mice and usb speaker to the hub.

  24. Does this works with a Macbook Pro and 1440p@144hz ?

  25. Used a doc station for my older lenovo.. but for office use only.. What about gaming laps prone to overheat, especially when gaming with a LID CLOSED ?? wont it shorten the life of your pc?

  26. Hello Frank, simple question : can this dock work if I plug it into my laptop usb type-c port even if it's not a thunderbolt 3 type-c port?

So basically the big trick here is that it's a docking station that uses your discrete gpu from the laptop to push the display instead of using a compressed video signal (aka DisplayLink) which would never work for gaming, right? I'd have to think about it a little harder, but this might also be a useful setup for a photo editing workstation? Access the full processing power of the gpu, plus attaching an SSD that you can access at high speed on the laptop keeps the workflow efficient. You could probably figure out some way to use the internal 4TB for longer term storage, clone it off to an external or cloud service, then delete on the local drive to keep using. It would take some thought, but this could be useful gadget for the right application.

  27. I would have this with SSD/NVME driven with couple of empty slots for future, of course at same price. I don’t care if installed ssd is 500GB. Besides this should have been two host computer system. Thunderbolt Docking station with old fashioned HDD is under deploying the equipment.

  28. love watching stuff I cant afford
