I assume this was a paid product advert?
yikes, these are A$299 in Australia. :O
im more impressed at his sniper gameplay than the mouse itself
Finally a mouse to replace the Razer Naga Epic? All mice since have been for palm grip only.
i have a trust gxt 970 and i'm using macros for everything like closing/opening tabs, moving left right on tabs (no more sniping those tiny tabs) copy paste and all sorts of constant use functions. I used to have a 12 button one but it felt really clunky and tiring to press the buttons.
This one looks really nice and a step above in quality, but I wish it was 9 buttons instead of 12
im a hard fan of logitech g604, but this really change my mind. the only thing holding me back is the price that is 2x more than the logitech g604
Steelseries mouse are too low. The naga is king of comfort. And right now, the new Naga V2 pro with Qi charging and usb-c is out. It's a no brainer
Dammit, I just bought the Naga Pro
SteelSeries Aerox 9 is a realy great mouse and new design on MMO mice is welcome, only thing I think they would need to make now is a wired one so ppl can choose either option they want and this would be one of the new top mice MMO along side the Razer Naga, G600 & Corsair Scimitar
I really wish that these wireless mice would have a hotswapable battery. I quite recently got the Steelseries Nova Pro Wireless headset & having the dock charge a battery while your using the other, especially since the batteries last so long & charge so fast. OMG gamechanger. I really don't see why they couldn't apply this same technology to mice as the mouse itself already has a battery that adds weight, so adding the ability to say eject it out the side & slap in a freshly charged battery would be amazing. No more having to worry about your mouse running out of battery & having to charge it, 24/7 365 computing with no wires. You can't tell me that wouldn't be awesome.
Naga x is 85g
charge only on usb c cable??? too bad…..dock or wireless QI ius much better. Also i don't understand while those side buttons were thus placed diagonally
Roccat NYTH me like
I still use my naga 2014 as my only mouse.
But ou want to avoid using those mice for FPS tho as any push of the side button will move even so slightly your aim.
OKish for solo campaign, big no no for competitive. I just don't use the side buttons when playing FPS.
"you can get cheap ones from amazon" I have had 2 mmo mice more expensive than this one
I've been using a G600 for many many years and it took me maybe a month or two to bind stuff to all the buttons. I am looking for a more modern replacement and this is pretty close if only it had a ring finger button. I bound ESC to mine and i can't go back to not having ESC at my fingertips at all time. It is super useful in games and for work.
I use the Logitech G600. It's huge, chonky, has a ring-finger button, and its $40. The 12 side buttons feel great, they're not cramped, it feels good in the hand, but it's heavy as fuuuuck and all that weight goes to my pinky. I would love for logitech to give it a lightweight redesign because other than the weight, it's a perfect mouse *for me*. I don't even play mmo games, i just like not needing to move my hands away from the wasd area. I remap the 6 key to r for reloading amd rebind keys in game to whatever i need them to be and its great. I just wish it was so much lighter
Blame Logitech for the side button layout I'm sure steel series made this mouse as a direct competitor to logitech's monster the g600 that they still haven't updated, but it uses the same one two three from the front bottom layout and has since 2012
is it possible to use it wired without having battery or mouse issue ? (not a fan of wireless stuff )
Why are there no normal reviewer‘s on YouTube that I can actually trust?
All of these guys sound and act and do all the exact same exact fucking shit. They have absolutely no fucking personality they might as well be a goddamn robot I wouldn’t be surprised if they were replaced be by EI they could do easily you’re a better job despite simulating this thing as humans called a personality because people like this or just so fucking ridiculously stupid in vacant in the mind I can’t believe it.
Stupid hyperbolic professionalism ruining society.
It’s not real it’s just fake ass ridiculousness
I still haven't found a mouse that beats the G600 in terms of buttons.
youre absolutely wrong about the way you think the button layout should be holy shit. that would make the mouse almost unusable and would be ridiculous soooo ya
i don't think this the people behind it actually thought about button placement. it sucks ass. like why is it a rhomboid shape? 3 is so far in narnia that you have to shift your form in order to reach it. specs are good. it's just the button placement sucks ass
The numbers are laid out like that because of games like FFXIV.
don't bother buying absolute shitty left mouse clicking AKA 1. press it and it clicks normally 2. IF u apply more pressure it goes even more down with clunky sound?????? wtf unless this is some "feature" failed product else have fun playing games that require long periods holding mouse button down (like PoE) and you will go crazy with "double click range" 2/10 rip 120€
I'm looking at moving to this from the Razer Naga. I've had a number of Razer Nagas but they always stop working after a year or two. Plus it will be nice to get a wireless one finally.
I'm super glad there is finally an MMO mouse without the stupid fat width you get from the 'pinky rest'
Why do all moba mice have pinky rests. I hate the pinky rest.
I'm pretty sure that my Corsair Scimitar weighs a pound and a half. I can't even use it for gaming anymore. I switched to the Naga specifically because of weight so this is very tempting.
FINALLY an MMO mouse that isn't like using a softball as a mouse. I like narrow mice so I haven't been able to use any mmo mouse unless you call the g502 an mmo mouse.
Does the app that comes with it work on a mac? As synapse bo linger does
If it wasn't $150 I'd consider it. For now I'll stick with my G600 for $40 new.
Whatever you do, don't each chips if you use this mouse…
I've always wanted a wireless lightweight mmo mouse with a shape to use for fps. This product is a dream come true… too bad it's too expensive.
this is probably my 40th liked video in 8 years of watching YT simply because of the loud warning heads-up, when testing the mouse click sounds.
Why do you assume that lighter is better ? There are different preferences, especially when it's not an fps mouse.
I've been using this mouse daily for 2 months. Great layout, if your fingers can reach, but I have to say one thing… The battery life on this thing is fucking atrocious.
I’m going to be honest I hate this mouse. The buttons take far to much pressure to click compared to any other mmo mouse. The overall feel of the mouse is terrible. I’ve had it for the last 3 months. I do however love the look but that means nothing.
I always found the mice that have those keyboards on the side as too hard to get used to. I like extra buttons, but any more than the G502 is just too many.
the logitech competitor to this is not the g602 or the g604 as he mentions in this video…. its the g600, and i dont really like this guys review, seems paid for… i am a steel series fan boy, but i would like someone who uses mmorpg mouses to review this, not a fps user stepping out of his depth… i do still appreciate the review, just again, seems sponsored.
I am a bit suprized that he is an FPS player, but didnt include the wireless speeds. I want to know the input lag on this being as its a wireless mouse and how it compares to others. that is one of the BIGGEST factors when it comes to fps and wireless mice, as well as just wireless mice in general for gaming.
the position of the buttons is the most common placement, having 1234 on the bottom row is not a good idea, and no mmorpg mouse has done that successfully cause it isnt practical.
I also wish he would have done a side by side comparison with the other mmorpg mice. but again i guess that would be pointless being as he is a fps player.
thanks for the review none the less!
The Logitech and Razer MMO mice are so outdated. Hopefully they will be forced to update their models if the Aerox 9 gets popular.
the 123 side button layout is the most common for other mice like this. its built for MMO style gameplay (usually tab target) where your 1-6 buttons are the most common spells and therefore easiest to use repetitively
for me it would be perfect to get a wireless superlight of the g600 using the HERO 25K sensor and modern mechanical or optical switches. its my favorite mouse and i love having the 12 buttons on the side and the ring finger mouse click and having those upgrades would make it soo much better
I picked up one of these on prime day along with a huntsman mini. Got a pretty good deal
As an fps gamer that bought a wired Naga trinity 3 years ago I can say without a doubt that 12 buttons on your mouse is unfair I primarily play tarkov and use my side buttons for meds crouching prone and switching guns this leaves my left hand to move reload run and use my inventory I never run into the problem of not having my fingers in the wrong spot at the wrong time
Straight to the meat and detailed info. Exactly what I was looking for. Subscribed!
whats the best mmo mouse for fps
I originally got an MMO mouse for WoW, but I can't play any games without one now. Having almost all your hotkeys set to your mouse and keeping the keyboard purely for movement feels so much cleaner.
Now I want to play BF1 again…
I've told Steelseries I'll buy every single wirseless mouse for left hand or ambidex that they made and so far my collection is complete at 0. They literally have 0 products I can use. Thanks, Steelseries, I love not using your mice.
