Comments

  1. good, internet should be costly and at lower speeds.

  2. America, NO long term goal… seems about right.

  3. 1:29:51 that was a lot of work for something that could have been a picture on a phone… 😂

  4. Don't have extended warrantys on my tech but my phone has a 5 year warranty, but definitely have a similar to apple plan on my washing machine, dishwasher and tumble dryer and have used all of those warrantys washing machine have had 3 replacement machines 😂 your hp ipaq looks a loot different from mine, mine is a p3 1ghz with 512mb ram 👍

  5. i miss the sound of the Modem calling up the internet and getting back an answer ,
but at 56 KB/s , downloading a picture took about 1-5 minutes , at least it didn't cost that much ,
it was an option for Everybody , it Still is an option for everybody ,
but even the lowest prices are ridiculous now , NOT WORTH THE MONEY
i think we pay 90 EURO for TV , GSM and 250Mbps internet … bundle ,
that's A LOT OF MONEY … to be ABLE TO get a call from someone
and have a 2x surf on the internet a month to check out a route to go bike at …
that's more then a full days work ,
just to have the ability to have some knowledge about the world …

  6. why bro i wanted to watch but i couldent bc i have finland time so i was just wating when it was 17,00 oclock

  7. Apple Care one: It will go ballistic. So one of the european big box stores, Media Markt, lives basically of that insurance, it has gotten so bad, that they are showing the pirce including +3 or +5 years of additional coverage in full font and the price without is like teeeny tiny. Additional Insurance is a thing, people go mad about it and 20 American Shllings for 3 devices is not that bad (compared to what you pay here)

  8. The average household does not need 1Gig upload. What are you doing with 1Gig down even at home. You can’t get that speed from Netflix or Steam.

  9. As a photographer with a studio… I do appreciate the box to not have to adjust everything. I have definitely used them for bulk corporate headshots. 1:06:46

  10. You should invent something like karate belts for badminton, lol

  11. I have 2 gigabit down in a 7000 people village in Romania. The fact that the US can't be bothered to do this is just sad.

  12. 1:09:40 the joke is such a callback😭 had me dying

  13. i live 25 min from a prov capital. i pay 135/month for 1.8 Mbps (225 kB/s down, 40 kB/s down). i use it for sec cams, and hotspot my phone when i need speed, although 720p still stutters. my rural inet is not comp with the modern inet, and i would have thought 135/mon would pay for fiber to be run by now.

  14. Sweden was top 3 in the world wrt fiber connectivity for as long as it was a priority of the government. The market won't solve that in a way the is not extremely expensive. The same goes for mail.

  15. They way they boot up in the intro Lmao

  16. Here, in Spain, we got 10gbps for 25€ month, included taxes, so… yeah, i don't really see any problem

  17. It is hilarious they are consumed by guilt to this day over maximizing their warranty. To that i say, that's what they are for. Do not worry. In fact not doing so is a major issue, as for changing the stickers that show water damage, that is nonsense i have water damaged many phones and not one company as ever checked those stickers. It's not a thing in Canada as coverage for water damage is a requirement in a country that has snow for 1/2 the year. It's reasonable to assume that a phone will fall in snow.

  20. his teeth look different – I dont like it. it feels like coming home and everything is in a different place. Ive seen one set of teeth on this man my whole life – I grew up with these teeth and now THEIR DIFFERENT HE LOOKS DIFFERENT its messing with me

  21. Imagine not pronouncing it Chewsdey

  22. Wait, you guys don't have social sports clubs for adults in the USA/Canada with organised practise and trainers? That's insane to me.

  23. I got google fiber!

  24. I really liked when it got surreal and insane at the end because you guys have been out of steam for an hour. You all should do that more

  25. I was waiting for them to discuss the TEA App leak lmao.

  26. While LTT can’t link it, I will. If you are looking for more on Linda Kahn it is likely that Luke was talking about the Adam Conover interview… and it was incredible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPVtCW3NZvM

  27. Regarding Internet speed. I live in Sweden and am connected with fiber. I currently have 500/500 mbit in speed. The price difference to 1 gbit is small but I don't see the need. In general, I think that we in Sweden have very good connectivity compared to other countries. A lot of work/money has been put into ensuring that as many people as possible have access to fiber. I can imagine that it doesn't look as good in, for example, North America. Just a little input..

  28. I haven't seen the sycophantic behavior, but my custom instructions are:

Don't mention your training cut-off date. Do not use pleasantries. Do not use exclamation marks unless relevant.
Never mention seeking a professional unless I explicitly ask.

Do not ask permission to proceed with something, unless there is a direct question asking you to pause by the user.
Do not respond with code unless asked directly.

Never apologize or say sorry. Do not mention that you are an AI.

Do not ask me questions unless I explicitly ask you to ask me questions. Do not use non-breaking spaces. Do not use narrow non-breaking spaces.

    Always use American English (en-US).

  29. I worked at a 'tech store of significant size,' and it was an open secret that the extended store warranty was a sucker's bet. Pure profit for the store, with very little chance you'd ever use it. If you "scammed" a store with any degree of reasonable rationale, you were just claiming a fraction of what the store, frankly, didn't "earn" in the first place.

  30. The FCC won't let me be

  31. Why is automatic generation of English subtitles disabled? It wasn’t perfect, far from it, but it was still very useful for those whose primary language is not English and who aren’t used to fully understanding spoken English.

    * Edit: Looks like it's working now. Maybe the subtitles just took some time to become available.

  32. Glorious stream

  33. does linus have veneers

  34. “REM sleep is the one you’re supposed to need”.
This is the danger of not emphasizing sleep. There is no “one”. All stages of sleep, done for consistent durations at consistent times, are curcial!

As a self proclaimed “high functioning insomniac” for many years, sleeping between 1-3 hours exclusively for years, sleeping is a life changing experience.

  35. I mean I’m in Texas and I pay 160 for just Internet.

  36. This episode was chaotic, hilarious, and epic!!

  37. Linus: "Regulations for you, not for me. Thank you"

  38. Can you not remove your device for a 3 hour video. Are your teeth gonna malform in that period of time

  39. urg I don't have the time to listen to a podcast, did they talk about steam, and what they do for their own payment processors? time stamps?
